Hey sorry I have another short answer response that I would be so grateful for if someone could provide with some feedback. Thankyou!

•   Assess the role of non-government organisations in enforcing and promoting human rights, using an example
NGOs engaged in human rights play an indispensable role in informing the global community, governments and the UN of human rights violations and progress. Amnesty international is an example of an NGO, focused on human rights. While, NGOs have no authority to enforce human rights, their role lies heavily in promoting them. They help ensure greater government compliance by investigating and publicising cases of human rights violations. This process of ‘naming and shaming’ can have a profound effect on government behaviour. For example, in 2016 Tep Vanny, a Cambodian land rights activist was arrested for defending her community which the Cambodian Government has forcibly evicted thousands of families from their homes. Since her imprisonment, Amnesty has been campaigning for her release and in April 2018, Amnesty International France handed over 200,000 actions to the Cambodian embassy calling for Tep Vanny’s release. In August, Tep Vanny was finally released from prison. This is just one example of the many human rights cases dealt with by Amnesty.
