I finally figured out how to hack the hospital food menu and I got two pieces of cake and custard with lunch

(I only actually asked for one piece of cake but no complaints about two haha)

Pizza and cake* and all food not made in hospital (except hospital custard, that was decent)

*cake is still in the oven but I think I’m a good enough cook for it to taste decent (hopefully)

Wishing small children happy birthdays with lights and sirens, seeing their little faces light up... it's just gorgeous

Waking up really early in the morning on accident, making yourself a cup of coffee or tea, and stepping out into the world and watching the sun rise. Its my favourite thing.

Putting something up on Gumtree late at night and waking up to two offers in the morning. Normally it would take around a week to get one!

Matcha KitKats always make my day. I personally think they are superior to the original (am prepared and open to further discussion on this).

I'd forgotten how soft my bed and sheets are. Is this what heaven feels like?

I had a late day in the lab, and my parents were happy to put aside dinner for me. I ended up leaving for home earlier than I planned. My youngest sibling Sarah was apparently all worried that I would be sad because I wouldn't have dinner with everyone else- and asked dad to wait for me to come home first.

Sometimes, the little siblings can teach us things too.

Aww that is a really lovely and wholesome of your sibling to do! I think we can all learn from such a wonderful act of kindness. Really brightened my day to read this. ^-^

My phone died while I was typing up a post and when I turned on my phone, what I had written was still there! A rare but cherished moment.
