It's 6 AM and my sleep-deprived form is finally back on AN. Yikes, I've already broken my own self pact.
English - I found it. I found THE best way to study for essays (Text Response / Comparative), and this has propelled my confidence. Hell, I'm not even embarrassed to say that I have a good chance at 45, or even 50 if I do it right. It's just a matter of dedication, and if I can do it or not. This is where I'll be spending my life for the next month. This is an incredibly insolent thing for me to say though, for someone who was projecting 35-38 maybe a few days ago, to claim that I could get a 45-50 now. That's literally a 10 point difference, yikes, but now I can do it.
Specialist - Did 2016 practise exams, underperformed. Stupid, stupid mistakes on Exam 1 (38/40). When redoing questions to check over, I realised that I should stop thinking in the old way I was doing them (because i would have a certain idea of how to do them), and just be careful with algebra, if this makes sense. Exam 2 (76/80), all dropped marks because I was hungry...LOL, decided I wanted to diet and lose weight and also an exam at the same time. The beast within me wasn't too happy about that, actually started going insane towards the second half of the paper. Also very careless mistakes, it's taught me to read the questions even MORE carefully (I even highlight them and everything), and not rely on my head for simple algebraic steps.
Accounting - You already know where it is.
N O A C C just kidding I did a little bit of it!! I'm so proud of myself wow.
Also regarding my university courses, after talking to a wide variety of people, I have decided to go into BSci (Mathematics and Stats) + dcomp. If I do it right, it can STILL get me into actuarial jobs, but widens my job prospect quite a bit, and it's more what I like. However, there's the scary ATAR requirement of... 85 clearly in. To settle some family feuds, I need a 99.45+ ATAR now. That's my new goal, 99.5. Plugging some numbers into AN calc, that's 44 Eng, 48 Methods, 47 Spesh and 43 Acc, or 45 Eng 48 Methods 47 Spesh and 42 Acc. This is very doable now compared to when I projected a 35, and I have amazing newfound confidence, whoo.
But why stop there? Why not aim for Chancellors (99.9) and a free ride to any university?
because the gods haven't smiled on me yet, that's why.
