Jacaranda is good but it often goes into some extra details, I’m not sure about the others. Cambridge checkpoints is always worth picking up, since sometimes the knowledge used in the questions can pop up in sacs and the exam.

Hienemann ftw but tbf jacaranda has insane detail. I'd recommend hienemann tho it's just a lot more summarized

Hmm - our school recently changed from jacardanda to heinemann. Basically, jac contains a lot of detail you don't need, although it has good explanations. So, you'll often find yourself looking for the content you need throughout a lot of useless paragraphs of detail you simply do not need. Heine is much more summarised, and it doesn't compromise in its explanations. From feedback from other bio kids at my school, apparently the questions in the jac textbook cover some content not in the study design.

I think you should go with the textbook your school chooses for you, as they will often refer to that textbook and it will be easier to follow through. But I recommend heinemann over jacaranda, simply because it is more summarised and rarely mentions large amounts of detail you don't need to know. Hope this helped!

Although I've never seen the Cambridge textbook, between Heinemann and Jacaranda, I would definitely say that Heinemann is a lot more concise and relevent to the study design. All the information in there is genuinely helpful.

Tbh... I was really hating bio and dreading class, but I think that was mainly due to the teacher's style. Working through a mixture of the textbook, ATARnotes book, Edrolo and BioBasics on my own has made me realise that I actually really enjoy the content. Which textbook are you using this year? What other resources do you find helpful?
