Uni course transfers for dent

Hey guys, I’m planning to change unis externally in order to pursue my future aspiration in dentistry and was wondering if you could do a “new” first year at another uni different course.
So for background info,  I’m a first year Melbourne biomed student and I’ve essentially flunk my wam so hard and I don’t think I’ll be ever able to recover it unless I do an honours year (be a miracle if I managed to get 75 wam in order to get honours year consideration). So I’m thinking of changing to Latrobe health sciences where I could possibly internally transfer into Latrobe dent. Problem is is that the Latrobe website states specifically that first year students are able to internally transfer. Does this imply that second year students (with credits) will not be able to internally transfer? If so, is it possible for me to start a “new” first year at Latrobe?
