Bridging course
« on: December 19, 2020, 08:56:04 am »
Hi forum,

I was curious,

If I undertake a chemistry bridging program starting in 2021, would I be done in time for the major offer rounds for July entry? (full time at UQ)

No worries! I'm making sure to be available quickly today for QCEers so if any further questions come up I should be able to jump on them speedily :)

I’ve had a look at some courses. The course finishes on the exact same day as the major offer round, so would I still be able to receive an offer? Also how would I even attach a course to my qtac application. Would I finish the course too late and have to wait until the January offer the next year

You need to look at the specific courses to see what the application process is, they might be direct application rather than going through QTAC. I recommend registering for UQ's ATAR advice event tomorrow and discussing the course entry timeline with their staff. You would still be able to receive offers generally but you wouldn't make the document cut-off if you finish on the same day as the offer round, so this is something you'd need to discuss with them.

Okay sounds good! Also if you apply for a course and don’t upload the documents won’t it automatically just say that the offer is declined

Would you be so kind to give me the link to those bridging course :)! I can’t find it, I can only find the tertiary preparation program, I can’t find one that’s only the chemistry requirements
