Title: How stringent are the entry requirements for masters degrees?

This is in terms of which subjects you’ve completed.
Hypothetically, if I were to do a major in applied maths, even though the masters in data science requirements claim you need to have done a major in either data science, computer science or statistics, would there still be a way to enter if I have done the subjects that are prerequisites to the masters subjects?
