Deseasonalisation vs Moving Mean Average question

This is a question in my sac that i didn't really know how to answer:
Why is using deseasonalisation on a graph not as accurate as using the moving mean average?

I would think that it depends on the context of the question. If the graph's inconsistencies/changes in the graph are caused due to the actual seasonal rotation than de-seasonalising the data would be more accurate, however i'm assuming the graph you're analysing does not have any relevance to the seasons.
