SCANNING EXAMS

Hellooo
So I have just finished my Legal Studies VCAA exam, however, my black pen ran out of ink a little bit when I was about halfway so my writing was not as dark or thick as it originally was... I am just wondering will this affect my study score considering VCAA scans exams?
Thanks!!

Possibly offering tutoring for 2020!
After all, tomorrow is another day.

I've been writing all my exams (chem and methods) in pencil... VCAA are obliged to read it and still receive the hard copy. Hopefully anyways. Can someone verify this?

I believe that not all subjects get scanned so you may be safe depending on the subject.
I'm pretty sure subjects that get scanned have the black bar on the sides that say not to write there or something.

I don't think VCAA assessors are obliged to read it all if it is not readable through the scan. There have been forums on here with teacher recounts of skipping portions if they cannot read them.

Hey, as brought forth above, some exams are not scanned. Legal studies is one of the exams that is not put through a scanner. You can see this by the lack of black strip down the center edges of the paper, as opposed to psychology, which is scanned and has a black band present throughout the work booklet.

As long as the ink left was still legible, you should be OK.

This is a concern. You are told explicitly by examiners to use blue or black pen when answering questions on all exams. If that's uncomfortable for you, do the unmarked working in pencil and change to pen for your final answer.

In most examinations, VCAA examiners have about 30 seconds per question (average throughout the exam) to mark you correct or incorrect. In that time, if your writing is barely legible, they may not be able to mark it at all.
Thoughts are only thoughts.
They are not you. You do belong to yourself,
even when your thoughts don't.
