Congratulations to all!! I love this time of year when people finally realise after all their hard work, it has paid off.
For those where the above isn't true - there are so many options available to you. You may feel defeat, but it's short term and you can definitely find alternative ways to still get to where you want to go. A lot of unis offer pathway options (e.g. do a Diploma at their TAFE equivalent and then enter 2nd year uni)... schemes like this mean you won't miss much! Please reach out to somebody who can assist if you are one of these people, don't sit there and stew on it... you'll drive yourself bonkers.
Edit: Also forgot to mention there are still a few other rounds to go..... silly me jumping the gun. Take advantage of change of preference and ensure your preference list reflects your updated preferences (don't take into account the fact you didn't get an offer for x or y course). Any offered courses already should be moved to the bottom after you accept it. While it is less likely after the first round, there is still hope and in a scenario where you don't get what you want the first time.. try try again. In any situation, getting your foot into a university is a good first step so it may even be worth revisiting your options.
