LANGUAGE VS UNI EXTENTION?

Hey guys,

I am currently studying Italian 1/2 this year and im considering dropping it next year to do uni extention Biology.
I learnt Italian at my old school but after going to a selective school (that didn't offer Italian), I started learning it at VSL. I am not a native speaker and don't have any Italian relatives which put me at a disadvantage. I love learning the language but dont know if I can compete with the other Italian students.

My 3/4 subject this year is biology and I like biology as well which is why Im considering doing uni extention next year.

I know italian scales well but it might be hard to score in.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Answer me these questions 3,

Which one do you like more?
What are your goals for after year 12?
Which is easier in terms of travel - extension bio, or VSL Italian?

You're more than capable of scoring well in a SL if you are interested and enjoy studying another language. To be fair, you should be glad Italian isn't as competitive as Chinese.

I like bio 3/4 more because I am good at it but Italian isn't stressful for me.
Something in Science - hoping for med
Travel isn't a issue for me because they're both close by. Competing with native speakers is what I am worried about.

I am very glad

If I am not mistaken, Italian is mixed between first and second language. This means if you are not native, you have to compete with the natives.

Also, VCE LOTE is very subjective from my experiences (I did Indonesian). So yeah, some food for thought.

Yes Italian is mixed with first language and second language which is why my main concern is competing with the native speakers.

Were you a native speaker and do you think its worth doing a langauge?
