Heya, I was wondering if anybody knows whether dropping a unit 3/4 subject now would go on a permanent record (that like uni admissions or whatever can see) and if I’d just receive an ‘N’ for the unit? And would this possibly affect my chances at getting into uni? Thanks!

I'm not sure what the date cutoff is for how late you're allowed to drop a subject, that's probably something to talk to your school about.
I don't think uni's can see if you have failed subjects anyway though. If you fail it or withdraw late then you'll get an N but it doesn't really matter assuming you have enough other subjects to still get an ATAR. I failed a 3/4 subject and as far as I know it hasn't had any effect on getting into uni.

uni's just care about your atar and dont really care about what subjects you did or how you got that atar (as long as you meet pre-requisites) and no one after uni will ask for your vce scores

Just out of curiosity, which one?

English language. I was doing it through distance ed and didn’t submit any of my work for U4.
Also failed U1 methods and I assume that would have also shown up as an N too given they didn’t let me withdraw even though I asked to a million times ::)
