Foundation Maths Inquiry for Monash University

Hi Guys,

I just have a quick question to ask about the topics involved in Foundation Maths. I was looking at the Unit Guide Manager and saw under the 'Unit Schedule' subheading the different topics that will be discussed in lectures for the upcoming year. My question is all that is given there what we will need to learn across the unit or will there be any other topics that are not covered by the lecturers that I'll need to learn myself. If so and if someone has done this unit, could they please send a list of topics that corresponds to this(i.e not part of the topics the lecturers will teach us and thus, have to learn myself).

A link to the Unit Guide Manager is here: https://unitguidemanager.monash.edu/view?unitCode=ENG1090&tpCode=S1-01&tpYear=2019

Thanks. All replies will be greatly appreciated.

Foundation Maths is basically a distilled version of Specialist Maths with a few differences. I personally haven't completed the subject but they should be teaching you all the content that they want you to know - especially in a first year unit. If you want to be sure you could email the unit coordinator whose email should be listed on the unit guide.

Hi Sine,

Your reply is very much appreciated. I will email the unit coordinator now. Thanks.
