Title: Casio FX-82 help
Post by: medlop990 on March 21, 2019, 06:31:07 pm
I'm actually a uni kid but I thought this froum would be more relevant. My uni only allows the FX-82 for use in examinations so I'm having to switch from the TI-30XB. One of the biggest reasons the TI-30XB was SO GOOD was because it allowed me to go back in my previous results and press 'enter' to get that result in my current calculation. Is there any way of doing this in with the FX-82??
Thanks.

You can use the 'Ans' key to use the immediately previous result in your current calculation. I'm not too sure if you can easily use results from calculations before that though.

Yeah I'm aware of the 'Ans' key. Was referring specifically to answers before that. Thanks anyway.

The big blue button in the middle says 'Replay'. I'm not too sure how it works in depth, but if I spam a few numbers and press the up key, it reloads the previous answers in reverse order.

Alternatively, you could save answers by using the variables ABCDEFXYM. This is done by computing an answer, then using the [SHIFT] key, then the [STO] key (same key as [RCL], above the seven), then hitting any of the keys with ABCDEFXYM above them. Each letter stores only one variable, so only replace the variable when you're done with it. To retrieve the variable, hit [ALPHA], then the same key that corresponds to the variable.

Hope this helps :)
