Common mod help please!

Hi,

So say for example there's a question that says 'Through the telling of stories, composers shed light on what it means to be human.'

By 'what it means to be human,' is that just the human experience?? So for example (I do Merchant of Venice), to be human means to experience prejudice on a personal level?

Thanks :)

Hey, Emily!

Precisely! Your thesis would basically be arguing that the text shares narratives about what makes us human and how this invites us to ignite new ideas/challenge assumptions/see the world differently etc.  :) Looking at The Merchant of Venice as your prescribed text, you could explore how flaws, misjudgements and errors contribute to our understanding of human nature and becoming more aware of ourselves. Hope that clarifies that  :)
