I have updated my study score calculator to now give results for both of your subjects that weren't listed (Lit, GP, and PE). I've then run the numbers myself, but you're welcome to try out some other numbers. Make sure to know the limitations of my spreadsheet! Here's what I predict for both of you:
Global Politics
U3 86%
U4 (prediction) 88%-90%
Exam 71/80
Also, is it true that I would need an A+ on the exam to get, say, a raw 40-43? My cohort is relatively small (approx. 15-20 people) and I'm currently rank 1.
Literature
U3 96%
U4 83% (prediction)
Exam 80%
I'm in a relatively small cohort of about 20 people who're all pretty good- we're currently averaging As for the SACs.
English
U3 87%
U4 89% (prediction)
Exam 80%
Methods
U3 83%
U4 92%
Exam 70%
Global Politics: 37-41
Straight up - I'm not an expert on GP, but I do know a bit about VCAA statistics. GP has an EXTREMELY strong top-end looking at the stats, so it would make sense that you need to be scoring really highly to ensure a 40. Typically, my study-score calculator should under-predicts at the extreme high end - I don't think it's doing that in this case. But also, do note, that last year an A+ was anywhere between 138-160/160, so the mark you think you get would count as an A+.
Literature: 33-38
You'd think it might be higher with your grades, but that lower exam mark tells me that your SACs will likely scale down, so my prediction assumes your SACs are 10% lower than indicated so that they more closely match your exam score. Sorry!
English: 37-41
Ditto for the above.
Methods: 33-38
Ditto again, but I've assumed that SACs go down by 15%. Do note, however, that the exams for methods are much higher weighted than the SACs (usually it's 50-50 coursework:exam, in methods it's actually 34:66), and in particular it matters what you get for exam 1 vs exam 2. I've assumed both your exams you get 70% for this prediction.
Hey guys could anyone give me a predicted study score for my scores in PE
Cohort of about 54
Rank 1-5
Unit 3
95/100
Unit 4
96/100
Exam
105/120
So, I've assumed that your SACs will scale down as well. Partly because at the upper-end of the rankings, the SACs are more likely to scale so that they match your exam score - but also because I don't trust my study score calculator with numbers that high ANYWAY lol, so you'd be getting an under-estimation either way.
I'd put these marks at a 38-43.
Reminder that if anybody wants subjects added to my calculator to PLEASE let me know
Can't add them if I don't know they're wanted! Also, still looking for people to test the study score calculator's accuracy - so if you'd like to help me out, send me a PM. Accepting anyone who still has their VCAA results listing their scores for each GA and their final study score. Will also happily accept anyone after results for this year come out, if you're a current year 12 student and want to keep that in the back of your mind.
