What have you listened to most this year?

If you use Spotify, you can find out. Otherwise, feel free to estimate.

I don't have my list in front of me, but from memory it was something like:

1. Let Me Down Easy | Gang of Youths
2. Similes and Metaphors | The Bazillions
3. Europe | Allo Darlin'
4. Where Do The Children Play? | Yusuf Islam/Cat Stevens
5. The Arrogance of the Drunk Pedestrian | The Smith Street Band
6. Chateau | Angus & Julia Stone
7. I Wish I Was | The Avett Brothers
8. Tea For The Tillerman | Yusuf Islam/Cat Stevens
9. No Hard Feelings | The Avett Brothers
10. 1972 | Josh Rouse

I don't think that's quite right; I think I've missed a few. But it was something along those lines. I think it certainly skews toward songs I left on loop for ages, potentially without listening to them. I'd be awfully surprised if The Avett Brothers didn't take up most of my music consumption in actuality haha.

Oxford comma, Garamond, Avett Brothers, Orla Gartland enthusiast.

I don't know how to see more than 5, so here's those ones:

1. 6 in the Morning | Crystalyne
2. Castle on the Hill | Ed Sheeran
3. Secret | Crystalyne
4. Navigate | Crystalyne
5. If I'm Lucky | State Champs

Tbh, this seems fairly accurate. :P I do listen to a lot of Crystalyne, and they only have two albums, so it makes sense they'd be up so high.

This year was the year I discovered the musical TV show 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend'. I liked the songs from the show so much, where it's gotten to the point where it became my most played artist on Spotify and three songs were in my top five. I also discovered the musical 'Hamilton', so three of their artists took their spots in my top artists list.

Top artists:
- Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Cast
- Leslie Odom Jr.
- Lin Manuel Miranda
- Panic! At the Disco
- Original Broadway Cast of Hamilton

Top songs:
- What It'll Be (from CXG)
- ... Ready for It? (Taylor Swift)
- I Don't Wanna Live Forever (ZAYN & Taylor Swift) <genuinely surprised about this one. Haven't listened to this song since April, I think?
- You Go First (from CXG)
- Greg's Drinking Song (from CXG)

what was everyones totals in terms of minutes listened to, numbers of different songs/artists/genres?

31,102 minutes in total for me :O. It would've been more if I listened to Spotify in class and during my bus travels ;D
Which will hold greater rule over you? Your fear or your curiosity?

How do you find your most-listened-to songs on Spotify, I can't seem to find it?

In 2017, I listened to:
>16,373 minutes
>914 different songs
>187 different artists
>37 genres

Top 10 songs:
1. American Pie -- Don McLean
2. Ashes to Ashes -- Blind Guardian
3. Since You Been Gone -- Rainbow
4. Straight Through The Mirror -- Blind Guardian
5. Addicted To Love -- Robert Palmer
6. Guns In The Sky -- INXS
7. How To Save A Life -- The Fray
8. Fear Of The Dark -- Van Canto
9. Charlie -- Carach Angren
10. Johnny & Mary -- Robert Palmer

Hmm, this is very surprising, I feel like I've definitely listened to other songs wwaaayyyy more than these ones. I do download a lot of albums and listen to them offline, so perhaps I was using that particular app and not Spotify, hence why my memory is skewed. That said, all those songs are pretty great :D

mine make sense they're all songs that at one point or another in the year I listened to on repeat for days lmao

1: 502 Come Up - Bryson Tiller
2: XO TOUR Llif3 - Lil Uzi Vert
3: Good For It - Nav   (boy this song was horrible live. i saw him the other night at rod laver arena.... so dissapointed but its an awesome song)
4: With That - Young Thug (feat. Duke)
5: Red Roses - Lil Skies (feat. Landon Cube)              -  This is probably the best song on here but it only came out in November so hard to compete for number 1
6: Bank Account - 21 Savage
7: Chill Bill - Rob $tone
8: Schemin Up - OB OBrien (feat. Drake)                  My least favourite one on here by far. but still a solid song
9: Rock With Us - Yung Pinch
10: Kay Kay - Chief Keef                    (Im shook this one made the top 10 but in retrospect its understandable coz I listened to the album that it's on alot)

thats it. No real shocks. Number 1 and number 2 are probably two of the most milquetoast ones on here but thats probably why they are so high up - they are easy to listen to. You really can't listen to a Chief Keef song on repeat for too long without getting a headache but shoutout to him because he is a musical genius.
