Is the Clayton book shop in the building where all the food places are? I can't remember the name of it but it's the one opposite the Menzies I think. I went on the Monash bookshop site and found a textbook for GRN1010 which I'm doing except it wasn't put on my booklist... only two of my subjects have been given prescribed books. The book I found isn't in stock though so do you think that's why it hasn't been added? Or is it just not going to be used?

Exactly, wait until classes start and c wot the lecturer says.

There's no prescribed txtbook 4 1 of my units, only a recommended reading that isn't a proper txtbook.
It's a new unit as well, so I'm going 2 have 2 do the same and c wot the lecturer says during the 1st week.

And yes, the Clayton campus bookshop is in the Campus Centre (building 10), on the ground floor.
If you're coming in the entrance where Menzies is behind you as you walk in, you'll come to a sort of intersection with stairs 2 ur left.
Turn right and jst keep walking - there's toilets, pay phones, a bank and an optometrist down there 2.

like most people suggest. wait until o-week to buy your books. Uni texts aren't the cheapest and sometimes lectures won't even use certain books!

Yeah but they are a delight to read!

Like Principles of Microeconomics and I can't wait to read my Money and Capital Markets book. Finally, learning finance in a formal manner. :)

- try to buy some second hand at the co-op
- don't buy "recommended" usually, just "prescribed"

It may mean that, while you can get by without them, you will probably maximise your learning with the books (i.e., the lecturer may set non-assessed work from the book as exercises - maths requires practice!).

Your best bet is to ask in O-Week / first lecture.
