74 for Genetics (Turns out I completely missed an exam question worth 1.5% which would've made it a H2A) and 79 for Chemistry 2 (so close to a H1).

They've got to be the most painful marks to get - here's hoping I can get them bumped over the threshold when I get my exam checked.

For the exam check do you check it or do they do it?

I'm pretty sure you check through it with them.

Cos everyone was talking about it after the exam and I didn't remember the question.

Why are you getting them checked?  Did you expect you had done much higher or something?

Email says that ICC marks are now finalised at least for assignment 2, I would also expect that is true for the exam as well however.

Well perhaps. I did email Dawn and explain that I actually knew I had missed a question - and she says they had no doubt spotted it already and detailed that I answered the Q4 in the Q3 box on Section C. They had already auto-corrected my marks and adjusted. However, I still want to go through the exam and just see if there is anywhere that I can - in good academic spirit - scrounge marks to get a 75. The same goes for Chemistry, where I want to see if I can scrape an 80. A H1 and a H2A looks much better than a H2A and a H2B, especially with another H1 in Russian.

That, and there's a good chance that I didn't do well in Physics. So I'm very concerned about that, and need my biol/chem marks to be stronger this sem to maintain a semi-decent average in first year.

Thank you everyone regarding the genetics score. :)
And Thushan, I will gladly swap brains with you any day mate haha!

Don't think I am eligible for the genetics prize guys because there is a third second year genetics subject which I did not take.
Also, there would be people who did better than me in semester 1 genetics anyway...

Nonetheless, I would highly recommend second year genetics to anyone who found it cruisy in first year.
Second year is all MCQs (not just the exam) so it makes for some pretty easy marks without too much effort or memorising stuff. :)
