WhatisaMeme’s journey

Hello everybody. I thought it would be a great idea to start a VCE journal that will record my progress as I am in year 9 and will be doing 1 and a half biology next year. I was going to do methods as math is my strong point but i decided to go for the option that I have the most interest in.

Hello. I mainly find biology interesting because it is related to nature and because it is the study of living organisms.

Welcome to AN ;D

Hi there. In the future I will most likely choose Chinese SL, Literature and methods.

mod edit: merged posts- for future reference, you can reply to multiple people in the one post :)

Good luck in the coming years, I look forward to reading this journal. Have fun in bio, never did it myself, but it would probably be interesting.

Hello Joseph41.
So far I am finding my subjects good in terms of understanding.  I have my S a c very soon for my biology unit one and 2 subject.

Thank you.

 22/7/2019

Been around 3 months since last journal entry. Currently going well with my VCE Units 1/2 Biology and Chinese. Hoping to continue to improve in the future. Also, I am trying best to not let my Year 10 subjects slide, trying to do my best in all subjects regardless.

I am currently planning to take Methods, Specialist, Chinese, Biology, History (or physics), Literature next year.  :) :) :)

Oof, spesh! I'm sitting on the fence about spesh at the minute, but it's cool to see someone else doing it. Which history? ;D

Hello Geoo! My favourite subjects have to be Maths and Biology at the moment. However, i do still enjoy my other subjects such as English and Chinese.

After thinking today I might still be on the fence today. I am deciding whether I should choose Further or Specialist mathematics. My maths teacher recommends me to do specialist mathematics and also because it links with engineering degree. However, after hearing previous students’ experience with the subject-because they say it is too hard and they said they spent time suffering-, I am no longer as keen.

For history I might be considering revolutions 3/4 in year 12.

If you want to do engineering, would definitely recommend doing spesh. It is no longer a prerequisite so that more people can apply for the course, but it is still expected knowledge. If you do not know it, you will need to pick it up extremely quickly and those who have already done it will definitely have an advantage. The other thing is that it complements physics, should you try to do that instead of history.

Revs is cool. It's the only history our school offers.  :-\

I mean if its 1&2 Spesh we're talking about here, I would definitely recommend taking it. You never know until you try ma dude. Plus Spesh to me is a break from methods. Everything taught is new(most of it) and its really great spending 30 mins on problem then finally getting it. I know people who have dropped spesh because they regret taking it while others regret not trying out the subject. Choose what you think is the best option tho!
Also good luck for bio
