The Princess Bride (1987) is beautiful in every way

Probably goes without saying, but also It's a Wonderful Life (1946). Jimmy Stewart's character always makes me oddly fuzzy.

Alien - 1979
Funny story about this movie, when I first saw it, I was at a friend's place and I laughed and consequently choked on a chicken nugget aha. :')

I’ll have to go with Caleb on The Princess Bride (1984). Inigo Montoya is *literally* my spirit animal.

After that, in no particular order…
- The Lion King (1994)
- Mulan (1998)
- Bambi (1942)
- Indiana Jones: Raider of the Lost Ark (1981)
- Batman (the OG, 1989, love the lil nipples on the later costumes tho <3)

And I know Macgyver is a TV series (1985-1992), but honestly, the mullet needs an honorable mention.

I also love that TV series! The new series that's currently out also doesn't cut the mustard :(

(Also I <3 Mulan and Bambi as well! ;D )

Bit older than you asked for but probably one of my most watched movies ever has to be chitty chitty bang bang (1968). I used to watch it every few weeks when i was younger. I haven't seen it for a few years now and I don't know if I would like it anymore if I did but I was quite obsessed at the time haha

Yes

I gave up after a few episodes of the new series. It's just not the same without Richard Dean Anderson. Given we're onto TV shows, I'll add Stargate (also with RDA) to the list

Inigo Montoya is one of my favourite characters of all time. Bonus because he's the character that inspired Oberyn Martell. I just love those swashbuckling characters. On that note (--> Han Solo), inb4 Star Wars, they are not old movies, they transcend time

Not too old! I also love that one!
Also +10000000 for the Sound of Music as well (100% better than Mary Poppins.)

- The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920)
- Casablanca (1942) (well I honestly preferred the second half of the film tbh)
- A Streetcar Named Desire (1951)
- Chungking Express (1994)
- The Prince of Egypt (1998)
- Billy Elliot (2000) (not exactly old but still can't believe that this iconic film was released 18 years ago!)
Which will hold greater rule over you? Your fear or your curiosity?

Definitely Alex Kendrick's series:
- Courageous
- Fireproof
- War room
- Flywheel

Amazing movies and they actually have a moral....a good punchline....not just some story of a highschool teen breakup and makeup romance!!
However, that said,  ;)I still have a soft spot for:

- A Christmas Prince
- Another Cinderella Story
- Starstruck
- Lemonade mouth
- and a few vv oldies: Jane Eyre, the Sound of Music, and the Man from Snowy River

 ;D

oh my god yes, Casablanca's so good. the fact that many of the actors and actresses were french refugees somewhat explains the genuine emotion they convey

also, I really enjoyed 12 Angry Men and Citizen Kane(I know this is kinda cheating as I'm studying it at school, but it's still super good)
