Drop Physics of PDHPE?
Current I am at 82 for physics and 85 for PDHPE.
I hate physics, but I am doing better in it because of the PDHPE scaling.
I would prefer continuing PDHPE, but will probably get a worse scaled mark

Mod Edit [Aaron]: Split due to revival of very old thread

Overrides all. Come study time, you are going to be far more motivated to study for PDHPE instead of physics, and scaling will do little to save you.

By saying that you hate physics, you've already answered your question. That is what to drop.

Cheers,i am much more motivated for PDHPE and i enjoy studying for it.
However, i think my physics scaled mark will be higher

hey! I thought the same about economics vs. drama last year. Internal marks were around the same, mid-range band 5 mark. Ended up getting 81 in eco and 91 in drama, despite the fact that economics was arguably my highest scaling subject, and drama is notoriously low scaling - passion and being able to motivate yourself is really important!

I'm with Rui - You should absolutely drop Physics. A few stats for your benefit:

Percentage of Students who Get a Band 6 in 2016
Physics: 8%
PDHPE: 11%

85 for PE (Scaled): ~67
82 for Physics (Scaled): ~74

So, while your scaled mark for Physics is higher, you are statistically less likely to obtain that mark. The average mark (not scaled) for both courses IS about the same however :) ultimately, you enjoy PE more. You are more likely to do well at a subject you enjoy and are motivated for, otherwise it just becomes like dragging a ball and chain behind you! Having a high scaling subject doesn't do much by itself :)
