It's Rare Books Week in Melbourne.  Time to hear about all the books that I'd really love to read but don't have make time for.  Some with beautiful covers, too (though now I do most of my reading on a Kindle).

Tonight was Juvenile Books of War, many of them suitably jingoistic, particularly early in the wars, and with the old-style covers.

I love the concept of the Christmas Truce, and there was a lovely tiny book with a Christmas Truce poem and some beautiful illustrations.  The poem itself with some of the illustrations is here (I also like the film Joyeux Noel - both because of the Christmas Truce, and because it has one of the most chilling sermons ever).

Then had the fun of bus replacement, heavy rain, hail, and a very close and bright flash of lightning just before I got home.  Generally just good times as only Melbourne can provide ;) .

It's long and yellow (and garter stitch). I'm going to Spotlight today to buy some black or grew pop poms to put on the end. Maybe I'll post a picture ;D

Been clocking out at around 3am for a few days now but I'm aiming to schleep at 9:30 and get up at 5. When the house is quiet and there are no distractions it seems to do wonders for my productivity.

What are you usually doing in the early hours of the morning? Haha. Good idea trying to get it back. 👍

While my sleep schedule is not as extreme as yours ;D, I have the same problem as well, going to bed at 12:30 and waking up really late! Hopefully it gets better for the both of us!

Well, if you mean when I've been going to sleep recently, I've pretty much been browsing atarnotes and watching youtube (a wonderful combination). During the school term, though, I just wake up at 5 to do homework and cook bacon and eggs without having to rush out the door ::)

Oh my goodness! That sounds amazing. No matter how early I wake up, I always seem to be eating a slice of toast as I walk out the door (if that). Can never quite seem to get breakfast organised hahaha. The temptation to buy a $1 hashbrown at the new school canteen is often too much if I haven't had anything before I leave.

Just had a caramel M&M. They are the least mundane thing that has ever happened to me. (So wrong thread I guess?) Oh my goodness I think I have a new obsession!
