GAMSAT clarification

 Hello there,
I was wondering if I was able to the GAMSAT if I did an Engineering degree instead of Biomedicine.
The majority of people I know who are going to do the GAMSAT are doing Biomed and they strongly recommend me to do so. Although it would be cool to do biomed, I feel Engineering would give me backup, in-case Med is too hard or loss interest (plus theres not much you can do with biomed degree)
However some people say you can do any degree as long you 'have completed a Bachelor or an undergraduate honours degree, or who will be in the penultimate (second-last) or final year of study' (https://gamsat.acer.org/files/GAMSAT_Information_Booklet.pdf).
Thanks in advance.

Hey there!

Yes, you can take the GAMSAT while doing any undergraduate degree, including engineering.

It's up to the individual uni if they would accept that degree — not GAMSAT. For example, you wouldn't be able to apply to Monash, but you could for Deakin. You'd just need to check the domestic requirements for each individual uni you're applying to.
