VCE biology or Psychology for medicine

I'm at a little bit of a dilemma as whether to choose vce biology or psychology as a potential medical student. I enjoy psychology much more than biology and would be more motivated to work for it plus it is much, much better taught at my school than biology. However I'm worried that I am potentially disadvantaging myself by not having done biology as a medical student. Either way, whichever I choose to keep is almost definitely going to be in my bottom 2 subjects (due to doing latin, spesh, methods english etc).

I would really really appreciate some advice about which I should choose, thanks!

Even though I'm not a med student (yet!), having done both vce biology and psychology as well as first year uni biology, I can tell you that first year biology at uni (which is usually a prerequisite for future subjects leading to medicine-not sure about Monash though) is easy enough that you didn't need to do vce biology beforehand. Right now I'd be focusing on the subjects you know you'd excel at, because at the end of the day, worry about the NOW and not about something in 3+ years time, because there are many ways to get into medicine.

EDIT: just realised your username lol, no pun intended

Definitely Bio. Especially if you are interested in undergrad med at Monash- Studying Bio is highly recommended and you wont have to take a short bio course some people take in conjunction with their medical degree.

Undergrad med is highly competitive - so apart from any pre-requisite subjects, you should take subjects you are both good at and like more. From what I've read, this sounds like psychology, so I'd suggest taking that.

Biology might mean you don't have to take a bridging course, but what if you miss out on an interview by a few aggregate points on your ATAR? Honestly, a bridging course is absolutely nothing if it's the difference between getting into what you want and having to wait another year or 3.

if it is in your bottom two, psych
I like bio more but for a bottom two subject, psych is a lot easier to get an above 40 score IMO.

Thanks so much to everyone for their input, I really appreciate it! I think I'll stick to what I enjoy more which in this case is Psychology.
