4km today. Felt better than yesterday.

Reminder of my goals for this year, even though I'm practically starting in March:

1. 365km across the year.
2. 15km+ run (current PB 13km).
3. Sub 50 minutes for 10k (current best 52 minutes).

Well like, people usually do a bit of a planned out training to build up to half marathon lengths and stuff. Y'know, so you don't overload your body and stuff - honestly I don't know heaps because I don't enjoy running lol but I mean there's stuff like the couch to 5k so I was wondering if you were going to follow something similar to build up to your 15+km?

Winging it can be okay, particularly given a 15km goal and without a "I'm gonna do it in 6 weeks!" mind frame.

Run consistently, try to run a bit more every few times you go out, recover well, reevaluate when progress stalls.

Just, if you're gonna run three times a week, run big once. 2k, 5k, 10k,  some shit like that. Don't kill yourself doing 3 x 10kms if 10kms is your PB.

And honestly, the shorter runs are going to help mentally. Less effort, similar reward... it's gonna build the frequency with which you want to run if you know you're not going to get punished every time you step out the door!
