How to study for economics?

I have never ever done a business subject, yet in year 11 (currently in 1/2 economics) i couldn't find any subject to do with my 2 sciences (physics and chem), religion and society, methods 3/4 and english, so i thought economics might be interesting. I'm not really an english guy i'm more math and science person but i did economics anyways. we started of with micro, i found it interesting and fairly studied for my first sac in it and sadly i passed by only 6 marks This really put me down, i used the same strategy as i used for my other subjects yet i just passed. How can i efficiently study for economics??
