Practice Exam Length/Difficulty

Just wondering if anyone else has done any of the MAV exams? I recently did exam 1 for 2013 and 2014 and found them to be quite time consuming/lengthy whereas with VCAA ones I've been able to complete them in under 1 hour. Has anyone else found MAV to be somewhat lengthy for exam 1? Also what practice exams do you reckon are the best to do?
Cheers guys

compared to all other exams, MAV's exams are quite difficult. This is because for something that'd be worth 2marks on an actual VCAA exam, it's worth only 1mark on a MAV exam.

I think the best exams to do are heffermen, even though they are a bit easier than vcaa ones, they are quite similar to vcaa's style.

Thanks, yeah will definitely have a look. Noticed that MAV and insight have questions that are worth 1 or 2 marks but require large amounts of working out for what the marks are allocated for. I've got a massive folder on my laptop full of these exams, so I'll have a print out of Heffermen and give it a go :)

Haven't really tried any MAV exams yet.. but I did the TSSM Trial 2017 Specialist Exam 2 today and I don't know if it was just me but I found it fairly challenging and struggled to finish in time.. the VCAA ones all felt easy in comparison lol..what did you guys think of it ?

I haven't done the 2017 TSSM exam but i've done the 2016 one. And i found it pretty difficult as well.

I've heard that TSSM's spesh exams are quite difficult. Which is weird because their Methods exams were pretty close to VCAAs.

Yeah I've done the 2017 TSSM methods and that was decent.. Close to VCAA difficulty. I might try the 2017 Spesh VCAA NHT exam next lol.. Maybe it can boost my confidence a bit  :)

Haven't tried any TSSM yet, saving 2016 and 2017 exams mainly till last as they are sort of a precious resource haha. I've done 2016 and 2017 Insight Exam 1 at school, however. I can say that they were challenging, even with a friend that is very good at spesh saying they had some ridiculously challenging questions. Feel like company exams for spesh aren't very good imo, I've done much much better with VCAA ones :)
