i had good sac marks all year (top 10%) but really flunked both exams (23/40, 59/80) and i'm feeling really down. is there any way i can still get over 40?

The exams were hard so there is still hope, since lots of people are in the same boat

Hate to be a debbie downer but in the spirit of being honest..

Even if you were Rank 1 at Macrob/MHS, with 23/40 E1 and 59/80 E2 even in the most difficult exam year in the last 15 years you would not get a 40 raw score.

This is likely a 35-37, maybe 38 or 39 in the most optimistic outcome.

To add onto this though, you've likely gained so much more from your experience that's not study score related (e.g. better studying habits, better mentality to coping with stress, etc) so focus on those instead! :)

Any chance you can predict my study score Orb? I got minimum ~80% on both exams (possibly a few % points more if they're generous), and in terms of SACs my average this year was 92% so I think I would've been highly ranked at my school - which normally does pretty well in Methods (though I don't know how high; probably top 10 if I'm optimistic). I definitely did a lot better in the SACs than in the exams anyway lol.

Edit: Or anyone lol
