This exam is harder than last few years... :P
Some questions are wired(hard to understand the meanings). There is also a timing problem. Although the questions in the exam are not very hard, it is easy to make silly mistakes under the stressful timing condition(not enough time to check answers.... :-\
what's done is done. we should move to spesh tomorrow :)
Eat well tomorrow, drink plenty of water, and try and rest up.

Honestly, considering how bad the exams were this year, what do you think the averages for both will be?

Last year the E1 was like 33.5 and E2 was 67 for an A+
This year is definitely lower so maybe we're looking at 31 and 65
btw - is an A+ a 40? I know people who only got A's and average SACs and got like 40+ so I'm not too sure what an A+ means anymore

Just wondering guys but what study score do you think a 83% in exam 1 and a 63% in exam 2 give?

A+ has a rough correlation to a 40+ study score. However, it is very possible to only A+ 1 exam and get a 40+. It is also possible to get two A's on the exam (they would need to be "high" A's) along with A+ sacs to get a 40+.

I don't think two A's with C+ sacs would get a 40.

Just wondering guys but what study score do you think a 83% in exam 1 and a 63% in exam 2 give?
Thinking maybe low-mid 30s but could definitely be pushed up/down depending on sacs.

Out of curiosity Sine, what do you think basically 80% on both exams would get, with what I think was a fairly high SAC ranking (A+ hopefully)? (Yes I stuffed up the exams lol.)

Hey,

I absolutely love your spirit in sharing the exam solutions but unfortunately VCAA exams are copyrighted and we can't let people share them on the forums :( If you can can share solutions in a way that doesn't show the actual exam book we can leave that up but since these are annotated on the exam booklet itself I have to take it down. Sorry :/

There was a question where I used - I think it was the probability one? - the || thing, where I think it was Pr(|X=y|)>2 or something like that. Would that be marked down or anything, if I got the right answer? i.e. was it a valid way of doing a question?

I think it would only mess up the river question
And that “find the angle” one
Otherwise not a bit deal really
