gon 2 cri.

the entire exam was a curveball. i did the 2016, 2019 and 2018 with no major issues. but this exam was something else. i think it may have to do with the fact that i didn't account for timing, so essentially all questions were answered half-answered despite knowing i would've been able to do everything fine but i really overestimated how much time 1 hour would be. super frustrated. was hoping for a raw 40 but at this point, anything over a 36 will do.
I feel you man - the questions weren't the worst but damn time flew by, it wasn't even as hard as the 17/18 paper but I think I did worst in this one

Anyone know what exam 2 score I need to get over 30 ss? Did quite badly for exam 1 today (12ish/40 :'( ). We had easy sacs, small and weak cohort of 4 people. Average 92.5% on sacs. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.
thanks!
Don't stress too much, especially at this point, and honestly it'll all depend on tomorrow's difficulty. This year's exam is definitely gonna be curved so the cut offs will be pretty low. But I reckon for 30+(assuming lower than last year's average), a 50/80 ish will do

I studied probability all weekend (only learnt it on Friday, any of it) and opened the book and saw it and went I know this, then afterwards the rest of my class got out and said What was that awful question on binomial stuff, and I just thought This is what I studied for...

Probably the most difficult exam 1 VCAA has given. I made a couple of dumb mistakes and ended up with 38. Will have to be sharp tomorrow.

I got k = 5/2
This was when the turning point of the curve was directly above the point P(1,0)

Yeah, I got the same. It was essentially just a translation of the graph to the right along the x-axis by a factor of 5/2.

For E2, just did 2019 exam2 found it alright... but I know from today to not expect it to be similar  :) but like does anyone actually use their summary books, I find it so useless and time-consuming. What would you guys recommend having in the summary books?

Anything you might forget!

I personally have one page I use often, which is a double page, essentially a map of CAS functions with explanations how to use some if I think I'll forget/haven't used them much. Then I have summaries of everything else in the SD, more for more if I need them, including worked examples, and then at the end tips to remember when checking through questions, how to avoid stupid mistakes, etc.

So I messed up my answer on one of the questions so I crossed it out and then put the answer on the blank page at the end. Will the examiners accept this answer on the back page?

As long as you put an * on the question and notify them about your answer being on the back page.
