Confirmation of grades?

I'm really disappointed with my GA1 in physics, I ended up with a B+ after I got 100% in my SACs. Is it worth applying for a confirmation of results to find out what happened? I'm assuming heavy handed moderation, but I was rank 1.

It's worth buying a statement in case your school accidentally gave the wrong results to VCAA ( it has happened before). The statement will provide you with both your raw and scaled SAC grades.

Does anyone know if Statement of Study Score will tell you what you scored on each section on the English exam, or do I need Statement of Exam Marks for that?

Hey! Given that you got a study score of 37, my assumption is that you scored a B+ on the exam (correct me if I'm wrong) - so your sac marks would scale according to your exam mark. The mark itself you receive in school is completely irrelevant - but its your performance on the exam combined with ur ranking which determines your final sac mark.

even rank 1 will get scaled down if you didn't do as well on the exam

I had an A on the exam. Apparently rank 2 and 3 received a score a few points higher than mine, with the same exam result. My GA scores were B+,A+,A

Wouldn't I automatically get the higher exam score as my SACs as rank one?

Your SAC scores/rank has no bearing on your exam mark. Your exam mark never changes but your SAC scores are be moderated.

Thanks for the clarification.

My confusion is because the situation is as follows:
 I can be only rank 1,2 or 3. The two others received the same study score (38). I received a 36. For them to score higher than me as rank 1, they'd (probably) need a higher exam score. For me to be moderated downwards at 2 or 3, one of them must have scored lower on the exam. Which doesn't seem to make sense if they have the same score?

Yes your SS would change if you report to your school and VCAA asap.

Resolution for those interested:

My class teacher miscommunicated my marks to my coordinator and I. My score was confused with another student's with me receiving her exam mark (B) as my GA1 score, which was then moderated up to a B+ by my high A exam score.
