I just want to clear up a few misconceptions with regards to scaling of subjects - and especially for methods scaling which I've seen commented on this thread.

Scaling is not dependent on how "hard" the exam is - it is standardisation due to the strength of the cohort. In a normal year methods would scale something like +5 from 30. This means that the average study score of all the method students in their OTHER subjects is 35. That is why VCAA need to shift the scale for methods as being an average student in methods is the equivalent of someone getting a 35 elsewhere.

Idk if this helps or not, but there were posts going around that VCAA gave same students the specialist math exam rather than the methods :-\
2019: 1/2 Psych

2020: English, Bio, Chem, Psych, HHD, Methods

2021: bye bye psych :D
