For those of you doing Psych in 2012, post what you're aiming for in this thread and I'll compile a list.

-
Hopefully a 45+ :)
-
I'm reluctant to post these scores in case I fall horribly short haha, but 44 I guess? Although 45+ would be nice, I'm unsure as to how much effort I'm prepared to put in this year for this subject. Edit: And, of course, how capable I am of getting it. :P Lol my original post didn't come across right
-
Hopefully 40+!!
:)
-
haven't done 1/2 and I'm in year 12 this year, but I'll aim high and see how close I can get to 45 haha :)

Aiming for a 50 but anything 40 and above is good :)
-
Didn't do too well on the mid year, so probs aiming for 35+ now
-
Hoping for 45+
But realistically, I will probably score a low 40.
-
I'd be ecstatic if I cracked a 40!
-
It would seriously be a dream come true to get 45+ 8)
...but back to the real world, anything above 40+ would be awesome!!!
It all depends on tomorrow's exam, really :-\
-
Hopefully, 40+ hahaha but seeing as I only got an A on my midyear I probably won't get there XD Oh welllll hahaha

Same.
-
On the same boat........it's a killer feeling.
-
It actually sucks so much XD Especially considering how much effort and study I put into the subject hahahaha. My SAC mark is like, 196/200 XD stupid extended response... Hahahaha XD

Well if your SAC marks are that good, I'm sure you can do really well tomorrow and compensate for that A by getting a good A+
GOOD LUCK! :D
-
yeah haha, the ER average was 3.5 . I know for me, it was a time issue....... makes it worse of a situation.

Thank you hahaha XD Good luck to you too :)

Yeah, I got my statement of marks and I got 7/20 for the ER hahaha XD
I shall be crossing my fingers for you that you don't have the time issue this time around :)
Hopefully we all do better than we think we're going to hahahahah
-
I'm hoping for a 45+, which I think is still within reach if I don't blank tomorrow :)
-
Hope for a 40 :) , but I didn't do well for mid-year so i'm worrying :'(
-
43-44 :D
-
36-37+
Hopefully I can pull out an A or A+ tomorrow.
Best of luck everyone!
-
To be completely honest, I'll be happy with whatever I get. I've tried my absolute hardest this year in Psych and I know I couldn't have studied harder or done anything differently.

Wow my marks are like the opposite xD my SAC marks are like 160/200 LOLOL but i still pulled off a really low A+ for mid-years ........ i don't even know if i'm in for a 40 or not baahhah -.- BUT GOOD LUCK GUYS :D

45+ fingers crossed its achievable with my mid A+ mid year :/

This, I've heard a few conflicting ideas so I've no idea what mark I'd need.

mmmm same! its really hard to know what the required marks are for it!
-
Hoping for around 43. Knowing that I did the best I could will suffice, though.
-
40+ ill be happy with any score really! It's been an interesting subject to learn 😄
-
Aiming for 40... was looking promising, but I don't think I have done enough for this exam. We'll see I suppose :)
-
Aiming for 45+. Hopefully I didn't stuff up the end-of-year-exam :)
-
Now that our study scores are essentially already determined in that we don't have anything else to add to it, do you guys think you've achieved your goal? :P
-
Surprisingly I'm pretty sure I have achieved the one posted in here way back at the start of the year. The problem is I won't be happy with that goal anymore. My hopes have risen, I just hope my score has too!
-

nope. I was really hoping for an A-A+ in mid years and i was confident too, but i ended up getting a C+ :'( WHYYY!!!!
but the end of year was really easy so im confient.....nah i shouldn't say it, i don't want to give my hopes up again.
i guess my new aim would be 35.

I did not hahaha. I think my laziness and general giving up due to my score in the mid year exam made me lose my chance of making up for it in the end of year exam XD
-
Hoping 42+ :) bit off topic, but i'm not sure how to interpret mid-year scores in terms of what's low/med/high A+.... can anyone help me out?
-
I think I was originally aiming for a score in the 40s, ideally 44. I think I've reached the first goal but probably not 44 as I skipped a whole question in the second exam by accident, and made too many other mistakes. Still, Ravit has a point; it was a great subject to do, regardless score I get. :P

Paulsterio's stickied thread in Vic Technical Score Discussion on how to calculate your SS has a system that helped me with that. I'd recommend you read that. :)
-
For mid years A+ cutoff 73/90 I would say low A+ 73-78 med 78-83 high 83+ all /90

awesome thanks guys :)

Hmm yeah I wish aimed higher from the beginning. I think my original goal (45) is in reach for me but now I wish I initially aimed higher because I feel like I could've done so much more for the mid years. (Throughout the year I started wanting more, something like 48).
I wanted to go all out for the end of years but then I needed more practice for methods because I suck at that LOL. :( Oh well hopefully I'll meet at least my initial goal!
-

This is a total guess here (and maybe also wishful thinking haha) but I reckon low 80s are possibly still high A+, unless the cut off is really high for this exam. Cause last year you could get a 50 with 82 in both exams.
-
I started off wanting 40, then 45, now after my disappointing mid-year I'm using emotion-focused coping and thinking very wishfully that I'll get a 43
I got 76/90 on the mid-year, am guessing that I got 82-84/90 on the end of year, and my SAC marks are 189/200, so close to the top in a very strong cohort (Mac.Rob) so they might be scaled up. Is there still hope for me? :(

Marks like that could definitely get you a 45, taking into the account the strong cohort at Mac.Rob, so chin up! :)
Hmm, know the feeling...I can't give my 1/2 exams in peace without thinking about my 3/4 study scores haha :D

I split some of the posts and moved them to here: Psychology SS Predictions
Study score prediction type discussion goes in the Technical Score Discussions boards.
