Backpack recommendations?

Hello ATARNotes!

I'm currently looking for a new backpack for uni (and preferably one that could also be used for travel), and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? I've heard rave reviews about Herschel bags for uni, and see them everyywheereee, and was thinking about them (leaning towards the mid-volume Little America backpack) - is this a good choice or are they just popular for the aesthetics haha.

Oh, and daily, I carry my laptop, a bottle, lunch, and a piece of clothing. And umbrella when it's likely to rain.

I personally think that BlackWolf is the best backpack brand, good quality, comfortable and with plenty of space. They're also quite durable because they are often used as camping/hiking backpacks.

Hello!

A very similar discussion was held a few weeks ago, here , which may be of some interest to you.

I carry almost all the same things that you’ve outlined, and use a Crumpler bag (private zoo). I’ve had great experiences with it! There is plenty of room, it is water resistant, nicely padded and looks simplistly stylish at the same time. There is also a lifetime guarantee.

Good luck with your choice :)

Posting so that this thread comes up for me at a later date and I can respond to this more fully.

Backpack I bought at the start of uni (5+ years ago) has treated me super well. Used it for uni, fairly extensive travel and work. Only just starting to wear a little, and that's because I've overworked it.

Can't remember the brand or details, so will update this when possible.

What is will say is it's definitely worth investing in something good.

EDIT: This is what I have, or something similar. Can't quite tell if they're still available but I'm guessing there are new versions. Probably a bit larger and pricier than other options.

This.

That anti theft backpack being advertised is pretty good I found.

Solid quality and nifty features.
Not to everyone's style though which is fine, try before you buy.
