Title: Studying for English
Post by: lst1103 on June 08, 2019, 06:15:21 pm
What is the most effective method of studying before an English SAC? I've been trying to write a paragraph every day (equating to approximately two essays per week), but I'm struggling to retain motivation. Should I persevere and try to overcome my dwindling inspiration, or is it better to plan essays as opposed to writing them?

Thank ya!!

To break up the monotony of doing text responses you could do a number of different activities.
*A close passage analysis, take out a passage and analyse the specific passage in relation to a theme you have studies.
*You could go over theme notes and character notes.
*Create a quote bank if you haven't already.
*Re-read the text or a significant part of the text.
* the old conventional path of finding lots of topic questions and answering those.
*Practising writing five minute plans.
*Vocabulary games to expand your vocab.
*finding sample text responses on your text
*searching for interviews by your author to gain some insight into authorial intent.
