Haha it'll probs be fine for summer, but I shudder to think how you'll be able to even try waking up so early during the freezing cold winter mornings when it won't even be bright outside...  :o

Yep! I lasted until the end of first term and that was it! When it's still pitch black outside when you wake it's bloody tough, but kudos for your work so far! Keep it up!

Why don't you have time to partake in organise sport.  It is the greatest misconception that you have to give up things you love during VCE.  I played competitive sport year round, went out with mates etc and still found time to study and do work.

My advice is do what you love and work out a routine where you can maximize your study.  Honestly, after 6-7 hours at school, doing an extra 4 hours every night-you are going to understand shit all of what you have done and you will be tired and lackluster the following morning.  Break it up, enjoy life, enjoy Year 12, all the 18ths etc. and you will find success will come with balance and hard work.

I started around June, trust me, I'd walk in the pitch dark! Scary but fun, weirdly

Lol I gymmed 3-4 times a week during the first term, then when mid year exams started creeping up I started going less and less and by the time mid years came along I stopped going and ended up cancelling my membership.

... Havn't gymmed since so its been like 8 months but once I grab my P's and turn 18 I guess I'll have more motivation to go :p

Yeah club sport is a great idea. Certainly wouldn't recommend 5am starts if you aren't already in that routine lol. Keeping fit is just about making time, really. Race Thushan every time you see him. Get a deck of cards during a homework break, take face cards as a ten value and normal cards as normal value. Take black as push-ups, red as sit-ups. Throw down cards and don't stop until the deck is done. Time efficient, intensity efficient, variation efficient. Walking to school is also a good idea. And yeah, I'd stray from masses of junk food and ice-cream and, my personal bane, Skittles. Treat your body as a temple so your mind can work best!
✌️just do what makes you happy ✌️

and, my personal bane, Skittles.

I grab 10 Skittles, crunch them in my mouth and try to make a brain like figure. Look at my creation, then eat it up again. :)

Wow now I feel really bad about how I'll keep fit next year.

Legit all I'll do is walk back from school only, it might be a brisk jog if I don't have much in my bag. Then when I get home 40+ push ups, but in sets. So 10-12 push ups, rest for 60 seconds then repeat.
After that I'd do same amount of sit ups. If i don't feel tired yet, a couple of small weights eg: 3 kg.

That's all I'll probably do each day. Also some days I might walk to school.

I can't do the same amount of push ups if I rest! I can only do like 15, then 13 then 10 haha.

An effective, but kind of odd, means of maintaining fitness this year that I took up was walking on the treadmill for an hour each day after school whilst reading notes, textbooks, texts for English/Lit, etc. It turned out to be quite beneficial and somehow I found it easier to rote learn difficult concepts whilst walking. Though my parent's power bill may have taken a hit...

That's interesting, I think about the themes of the books I read while I walk. It may even be music evoking certain thought!
