An overview of the AN AMA series can be found here
Instalment #1 of the series with Orb can be found here

Welcome to the second instalment of ATAR Notes' Ask Me Anything series! How does it work? Basically, each week (roughly), you'll have the opportunity to ask a different user whatever you want! School-related, uni-related, favourite-Bachelor-contestant-related, life-related, sport-related, *whatever-you-want*-related. The potential benefits are many, the potential downfalls are few.

Orb did a fantastic job in the first thread, so let's keep that momentum going! Next up we have (pretend it's not in the thread title)...

.

Those on the Biology board in particular will be familiar with vox nihili's work. And look at that sweet, sweet +333 respect. A bit more background:

Quote from: vox nihili
Hi there! I'm vox nihili, a first year medical student at UniMelb and the one who lived (through Biomed, also at Melbourne). At Uni, I have done a lot of Biochemistry/Molecular Biol, along with some Pharm and a bit of Spanish and Ancient Greek for breadth.
Outside, I make a buck doing some private tutoring, along with some work in Public Speaking/Debating. Fun fact: I have worked for VCAA a few times!
At high school, I studied: Biology, Chemistry, English Language, French, Maths Methods and Psychology
Not-so-nerdy things I'm interested in: footy, tennis, comedy, music (who isn't?)
Nerdy things I'm interested in: politics (esp. around education), science (esp. Biochem), languages, public speaking

So, over to you! :)

Thanks for sticking your hand up for this. Perhaps one for benefit of the younger folks on the forum: how did you get into public speaking (and/or debating) and would you recommend it to high schoolers? And if so, why?

Thanks for doing this - whenever I'm looking for help on the Biology board, your answers always seem to help.

Would a bear or a shark win in a fight? also, why did you choose to pursue medicine?

DEFINITELY taking advantage of one the suggested questions that I'm sure everyone is dying to know:

who is your favourite Bachelor contestant?????
HSC 2016: SOR 2, Adv. English, Ext. 1 English, Chemistry, 2U Maths, Hospitality
6th in NSW for SOR 2

ATAR: 97.00

2017: B Nutrition & Dietetics @ University of Newcastle

What did you find to be the most difficult part of your (biomed) degree? Best piece of advice you could give to a 1st year in it?

Why did you pick up Spanish at uni as opposed to continuing French in uni?

Have you had your inner health plus today?
