Shoutout to Calebark for this amazing post about pick the middle questions in the UMAT. Not only did the post include a full length explanation but a UMAT-style question created by none other than Calebark. Most impressive!

Thanks for that, Quantum! Funnily enough I actually decided against taking the UMAT myself, but keep it on the DL ;)

Admittedly this would have worked better if I was diligent and posted first, but we'll take what we can get.

Jokes aside ( <--- most of my posts here), shoutout to K888 -- our resident physio expert -- for her Q&A physio board, which I am sure will help a great many prospective physios!

nawww thank you <3 Actually love this community so much - pretty much been exactly a year since I started using the forum, and I had absolutely no idea how much it would impact my life - especially beyond HSC. The crazy fun opportunities i've been given, the significant increase in my banter abilities (gotta keep up with K8M8 and the turtle), and most importantly, the amazing group of friends I've made (both on and offline) ;D Honestly can't thank this community enough :)

I love ya all so much <3 ily ATAR Notes xx

I've split all posts relating to the respect system into this thread, where we can discuss grievances in detail.  Let's keep this thread the positive, supportive, appreciative, uplifting thread it's meant to be! :)

Shout out to Sine for his wonderful exam guide + tips for methods and specialist.

Really recommend all the year 12/11 students to look it before they walk into the exams.

Alright, I think I've been putting this off for way too long now. 9 or even 12 months or so of me just stacking up shout-outs and watching them blown away like wind does to paper, just because I keep forgetting people to recognise! Besides, once uni starts, this is just gonna get set back even further.

So, without any more unnecessary blabbering, let me get started :P

I suppose this is probably the least surprising, but first and foremost I obviously have to thank Brenden, Jamon and Jake. As if I'd be here today even having a damn future without those books and the lecture, which obviously involved many people but surely these three at the back of it all. Absolute pleasure working with/alongside them and the team. Could probably drop in that Jamon's gonna hit the 6K mark soon with those posts! (Damn it. I miss when I was just 300 below him.)

A special mention to a certain 'brat' who's probably gone missing since the start of this year. But I only found this forum because HPL posted about it so I can't forget that. Still a really close friend of mine IRL.

Support is sometimes ever so subtly given and other times placed right there. Perhaps these days Jake's been my greatest supporter on here, and I've received loads of encouragement and enthusiasm from Elyse and Nick. Some such as Heidi even went to PM me showing some appreciation for what I may have considered minor (XD), and along with Nick really took action when I was pretty much having a mental breakdown as a result of one thing on this forum.

Forum's been set up with things everywhere. Really glad there's people (and perhaps especially Aaron and the other national mods) constantly monitoring the actions of people on this forum and keeping it all in check. Can't speak for at this present time but when I first joined, that order was something I felt was lacked elsewhere. Only saw it here.

Of course, my contributions are only a bit of the puzzle. Whilst you could probably say it was coerced, there's also other's like our recent 1K post breaker Susie and the recently active again Isaac doing their shit as well. Banter game's outrageous with the former and Isaac really just resurfaced out of nowhere but really - I was falling disappointed with the level of activity of the NSW state mods. Thank goodness we had some people continue looking after the growing section.

Probably a part of why we had some new faces though. Sure, there's others worth mentioning, but these were well deserved approvals.

Support doesn't exactly end here either. Whatever the fuss is, it doesn't change the fact Sine remained ever supportive of the shit I do. Also, joking around with people like insanipi and the other mods (just tag the whole moderating team page really) keeps this forum lively. And of course, gotta mention some older contributors like zsteve, also putting their guts into their duties.

Alright, enough about just moderating team. Their work on the forums is endless but, nobody said you had to be a moderator to get shout-outs.

Little things matter. Forget the upvotes; chelseam deserves a special one for being the one user to identify themselves to me during the lecture series!

Contributions outside your state are massive, which probably helped Neo a lot in becoming a mod. Yeah, things get a tad sticky when some non-HSC content gets brought in, but people like Shadowxo and at some points Syndicate are really just making our duties easier. I know the amount of times I walk into the VCE methods/spesh threads isn't as often as Shadowxo lurking in ours. Tbh, despite being a mod, MightyBeh fits under this category more.

On the previous forum it was just EEEEEP supporting me. Was really happy when he came here, especially since he just unleashed a whole bunch of articles everywhere.

Occasionally a few people (usually on the question-asking side) also answer problems on the maths thread. I know I've had to criticise a few times due to mistakes, but again, making our duties easier - kudos to you. I know I'm intimidating at times but I just take maths too seriously - stay helpful please!

Whilst I tried to not require it much, little mention to Wales for being able to discuss ideas with him prior to my lecture (you know, having the actual perspective of a student).

Susie's mentioned a couple of people building up the humanities section. Whilst I don't really care for HSC humanities (in practice it seems cool), they need more activity so that's greatly appreciated.

There's also some people behind the scenes that I need to offer a shout-out to. Won't list names here, but they're there.

And of course, in general, a big shout-out to everyone for actually helping build this community altogether! I still think there's a lot left to go, but this is what I would call "spectacular progress".

Rant: Ehh, this is why I regret the stacking. Not only am I omitting reasons but I'm also forgetting like 100s of people I was going to mention...

Some say that this forum is used for knowledge. Well, yeah I'd really hope so for them, but that ain't gonna be me too much.
Some say that this forum is just for liveliness. Agreed, but eh still not what I'd focus on.

For me, ATAR Notes is literally just about opportunity (and Isaac and some others will agree). HSC ended, I thought "wtf am I gonna do with my life; uni's hard can I just redo my HSC" and blah. (Yeah, I guess I used this forum for procrastination during uni.) Little did I expect I'd have written a book and done a lecture though. This is what I mean by giving me a future - I actually have something to continue with for my life now despite my severe lack of soft skills. I mean, I really hope that people do actually benefit from the stuff I say (more often than not I can never know really). But it really isn't about me getting what I want; at the end of the day I'm thankful for what's been given back to me.

Edits: I'm also gonna be a little bit of an idiot. Like I said, tons of names I forgot but honestly if your name shows up and I planned to give you one all along I'm going to edit you in.

Rui you're an absolute legend! Your brilliant explanations and dedication to help out are literally why I can understand any of the content in maths (and I'm sure that others will agree)! And your lecture was so helpful you smashed it! ;D

Shoutout to Thushan for writing the Chemistry 1 & 2 Course Notes. Been using it for about two weeks now; I find it much more straightforward as opposed to the Heinemann textbook. (Best $25 I've ever spent)

Mini-shoutout to Joseph41 for hooking me up.  ;)
