I prefer not to include my real name in this forum hehe. :3 In this forum I'll be tracking down my thoughts and results (most of them). If I come across any tips or advice through out the year that i wish i got told earlier, I'll note them down here too.

I guess the first piece of advice that I'll include is during the subject selections, choose subjects that you genuinely enjoy and you know you'll do the set tasks in. In VCE the workload gets upped a lot to the point where it can get overwhelming. Choosing subjects you personally enjoy will just make everything less draining.

Subjects:
So I'm in my first year of VCE and the subjects I have chosen to do this year are Psychology, English, Mathematical Methods, Physics, Studio Arts, Chemistry and Religion and society.

My Goals for 2020 (school)

- Complete set tasks before or on due dates.
- Get into the habit of reading more.
- Have the courage to ask help when needed.
- Participate in more co-curricular activities.
- Participate in class as much as possible.
- Retain and understand the information in all my classes.
- Stay organised and sane LOL.
- Improve time management.

My Goals for each subject
'Term 1, Semester 1'

Chemistry
- Achieve an 80% or better on my tests.
- Learn and memorize the list of common Ions.

Physics
This is by far the hardest subject for me at the moment, though, I am determined to try my best to achieve the results I want.

- Achieve a 70% or better in my tests.
- Do further research into the topics to gain a deeper understanding of the content.
- Do as many different problems.
- Understand all concepts and be able to apply this knowledge to any given problem.

Mathematical Methods
- Focus on worded problems.
- Ask the teacher for help when needed.
- Do as many equations available in the textbook.
- Achieve a mark of 80% or higher in my tests.

English

- Broaden my vocabulary.
- Achieve an above average mark for my sacs/tests.

Studio Arts

- Maintain a straight A grade.
- Look into the historical context of the artworks.

Psychology

- Achieve a mark of 90% or higher in my tests and sacs.
- Attain a clear understanding of each topic I am learning.
    -> do extra research.
-> summarize every dot point required in your own words.

Hey!

Welcome :)

Are there any co-curricular activities that you're particularly interested in?

Good advice around subject selection - I notice there's a lot of science in there for you :D

Do you have an idea of what you want to do after high school?

Hii and thank you :)!.

I am currently in chess club, though, I am looking into joining Badminton, choir and reading club. :)

I do have an idea of what i want to do after school, I am planning to study bio medicine as a bachelor in the University of Melbourne, and hopefully get into medical school. I'm planning to become a neurosurgeon :). Who knows my decision might change over time, but at this point I'm pretty set on what i want.

Welcome to the fourms! I'm seriously loving your subject combo - so many sciences and art! What made you choose studio art?
Excited to see where this goes, have a lovely week  ;D

Thank you haha :D. I figured it would be a good idea to choose studio arts because i have a genuine interest in the subject. It also helps me 'rest' from my other subjects, as creating art gives me a sense of relaxation.

I hope you have a great week too!! :P
