Thanks for that..
But O-week for other Universities, from what i have been told, involves events at night following the formal planned events in the day. I figured Unimelb would be similar. Also, the Royal Melbourne Hotel AKA Bang nightclub was advertising an O week event specifically for Melbourne Uni. I just was asking if anyone knew or any other similar functions or whether others attending Melbourne Uni for a few years could confirm whether anything like that happens. If not, i didnt go on the fucking camp. :(

Yeah two pubs crawls, a commerce one and science one, both on thursday arvo, these will both probably end up at a club of some sort-for those that survive that is haha, and then AA defs does a club night, i'm sure there are also other club events going on, ask around during o-week, you'll find some to go to haha

In previous years the host will decide how long to keep you for but you're free to leave anytime

i personally won't be with my group for more that about 2 hours, that's plenty of time to get around the campus, if the want to hang for a bit long that's fine, essentially hosts can keep the for as long or short as they want

Remember, this is not high school. Back when I had orientation I eventually got sick of following a bunch of ppl around in a crowd, and after seeing someone light up a smoke right in front of my group host I realised "oh right, freedom" and walked away and did my own thing.
