What is the difference between foonotes and endnotes? (I am not familiar with the latter)
Gah, she isn't usually...I know it's important but after 25 foonotes, it's obviously just a silly mistake.

Endnote is a computer program designed to make referencing easy and less boring. It's available on the library website and I couldn't work without it!

Endnotes are notes to be placed at the end of the document, which typically contain citations/other information that do not contribute to the text, but allow the readers to look up any secondary and tertiary sources used. Footnotes on the other hand do contribute to the text, but contain remarks which do not belong in the body of text. The 'works cited' bibliography is a type of endnotes, where all the bibliographical entries are collected together and presented at the end of the document.

Endnote is a third-party software to help manage a bibliographical database and enumerate citations/generate endnotes. MSWord 2007 and onwards have build-in capabilities to handle citations. Many academic manuscripts are written in LaTeX, which has its own method of handling citations (bibTeX).

Okay, so I stupidly forgot to foonote one quote for a short history essay, despite using over 20 footnotes throughout the entire piece. Will this negatively impact upon my mark? It is in quotation marks, but the citation just isn't there.

Is it for American History?  Just email it, lawls.  Lax-est subject ever.

Of course, it's not a holiday it's just a non teaching period. I was there earlier and I'll be there again on Wednesday, all the postgrad/honours/etc students are still working :P

That is why it does not get termed 'break' in the official academic nomenclature and is instead dubbed a 'period'.
I am lengthening my weekend off with an afternoon coffee and then the books and I meet again.
It was good to put them down on Friday and not have to look at them again until now.  Lucky I return to studying on such an awfully unpleasant day which includes sun.

This time last year I was overseas enjoying myself with bronchitis in my hotel room, why can't I be doing arts again? /creys/

I've known about it for a while, surprised everyone else didn't. But yeah, so annoying.

Also, did you leave your 9am lecture in the copland early today?

It's more annoying when you need to give at least 3 weeks notice to your employer when taking time off and by postponing it a week, UoM thinks it's fine.  But it's NOT!!!!!

This should be grounds for special consideration.  :P

I know, that's the reason I'm annoyed as well D:<
I can understand postponing the release a day or two if the timetable isn't finalised.  But another seven days?  Really?  Especially since they just had a two week non-teaching period to get that shit done.

I didn't think it was possible for Admin to be more shit before today.
Notice they put up a lovely button for re-enrolling in your course.  Thanks Melbourne Uni, I'd love to re-enroll but it'd be nice to know when the exams I have to go to in order to do so are, prior to me thinking about next year.

Okay so I wasn't really in the Copland, I came down the stairs from one side of 'Arts West' to wait for my 10am lecture in the Copland and then decided upon hearing the voice of Dawn Gleeson from afar that two hours was too long to last without caffeine, so then I went up the other set of stairs.  So I guess that could be perceived as me leaving my 9am lecture in the Copland.  WHY, WERE YOU THERE?

That's why we need a whole revamp of the Operations team at UoM.  Seriously need to lift their game.

Also, this is one of the hidden casualties of the Melbourne Model.  Who woulda thought?  [/end rage]
