I was halfway through writing congratulations to everyone when I realised I should check who the MVPs were.
I didn't expect to be on that list. I'm honoured and a bit shocked.
My fellow Sep '17 MotM fb3 has been a key contributor for NSW for some time now and I'm not surprised to see their name recognised at all :) massive congratulations - you've earned it!
Congratulations to Rui, angewina, & owidjaja as well - it's always great to see your quality and quantity of contributions gracing the forum.
I always consider it a good sign when I know who a NSW user is - and this year I know everyone on the list plus some other quality users there simply wasn't space for. I hope you're all extremely proud of what you have contributed - the rest of us are.
Poet & PF, print this out, frame it, & when you have doubts about how brilliant you are remember: we don't share those doubts with you. To say I'm proud is an understatement.
The quality we've had this year is incredible, & I can think of so many users who have had a fantastic presence here yet didn't make it on the board. Congratulations for those who were voted into a category and those who weren't. The contributions you've left behind will be remembered and appreciated.
Friends, I hope these holidays bring you fulfilment and rest; I can't wait to see what next year brings!

If I were the one deciding who gets what, most awards would be shared, or not given out at all, for the overwhelming support and general quality that you all lend to this community. You beautiful, beautiful people. Cannot wait to see what 2019 has in store for all of us! <3

This is a surprise and very adorable! (Considering this is 3-in-a-row I think (I haven't checked properly- going by memory here), which is pretty cool given tomorrow marks exactly 3 years since I signed up to the forum!)

Just want to reiterate my congratulations to everyone! I especially love seeing people who were honourable mentions last year pick up the main award this year - Love seeing the progression. 2019 is going to be a huge year for ATAR Notes, and the people in this thread and those nominated are going to be a big, big part of that - So excited ;D

I've just been silently upvoting everything before actually saying something so uh *awkward*
But just reiterating what everyone said, congrats to everyone :) and thanks for making AN an amazing place. :D
Being nominated makes me feel like I've been paid back in some way and though I don't need that to keep helping people, it really does make me feel even better about helping more and more people. :D Though, to be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to beat out Rui on the Maths Boards. :D
So again congrats to everyone :D

You guys are so sweet! Thanks for the university award and congrats to everyone who received an award or a nomination. As always, the AN community is strong and only getting stronger with each year. I’m going to take the avenue less taken here and reach out to the lurkers of AN. Many of the people who received awards this year are people who only really started their AN journey in the last year or less! Otherwise, they lurked around the fora for a while until they decided to pipe up. Next year, that could be your name on there. You only need to speak up! ;D

Already I've been seeing new users stepping up and helping others, and it is so beautiful to witness.
