Hello frens,
I'm back again, i don't really know how to start this buttttt, i guess I already did this once so ya know jus gotta go go,
I was really inspired by alice343's journal so imma do one tooooo, I love her format, pls check it out, it do be so glorious so I'm hoping to emulate some of it in mine. kekeke.
My name is Rose and I'm doing year 12 yeehaw, after hsc I wanna go japan (doesn't matter what atar I get lmaooo)
I do Jap beg, eng adv, eco, art, music 1 teehee and I wanna get into ANU and do a fancy double degreee.
I wanted to create this journal as a doco n also just so i can spew all the rando thoughts in my head while practicing my japanese! I'm absolutely terrible at writing with grammar and sentence structures, I've been using my marks for speaking, listenin and reading to scrape up the difference for my writing ability in jap so I'm hoping to prac some here and maybe some fluent child shall bless me with some edits? HEHEH i'm also doing this with 2 of my school frens so we are cross reading n editing fun fun! goal is 150ji each time.
I also wanna just jot down 3 goals i have for each day n then do them hopefully heheh
I'm really not an intrinsically motivated person, very competitive but recently my marks have gone yeehaw so I really wanna get it good so I can get it together to go to my dream uni.
Some things about me:
- I recently jumped into the haikyuu bandwagon n im mclovin it
- I used to live in south west syd but I moved to near a beach halfway in year 7? (I'M SO BAD at geography) but I still attend my southwest syd highschool (same one as alice343 !!) so the commute is quite long and tedious but I do alot of hw in the morning cos im wicked last minute like dat and yeah not too bad, only gotta survive for a few more months so allg i guess (holly quackers das weird)
- I play violin but not too professional, I'm only in grade 6, I started in year 7 :) , I'm rlly proud of my progress because it just goes to show that you can start at any age and with consistency comes results etc idk (insert motivational quote ahah)
yeppo, das all for now, i think?
- My fav subjects are probs jap n art
see y'all soon, I already love this community lmao

Tuesday 火曜日(09/06/2020)
[/b]

SoOoo, today was a cool day, my friend cawiwi's birthday was yesterday (yipee 3 day weekend) so we celebrated that at skool n had a feast, massive love. good vio sess with the teach, satisfied.

Economics
-tbh, not doing well, i'm behind a full topic (there are 4 topics in total) but I understand all the theory n content being taught, I just haven't done any of the set work. I let myself go when covid hit, I attended zoom classes but didn't do short ans etc etc, but its not too late to get back into it
- also have no assessments becos of covid, trials are like 60% very high very scary, regretti spagetti of not doing more draft essays etc
rank goal:
top 10

Music 1
- love prac, theory is okay
- I wanna catch up on making cute notes
- not good at aural observations, goal is one aural task a week, 10-15 rhythm dictation ( not very good counter n pulse detector yet), and maybe forming chord etc cos not fluent in detecting intervals (https://tonesavvy.com/music-practice-exercise/14/rhythm-dictation-game-eighth-notes/)  is good, where I plan to do stuff
- very sad sometimes in class cos everyone in it took music in year 9 n 10 very fluent in diatonic tones, dorian modes etc? i have no idea, hemiolas? gahh, so much to learn mewwwww, will look into it allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
- elec. 2 is coming up this friday!! video submission but I still get tense, on thurs gonna visit pianist for accompaniment n record :) will be dope i hope
rank goal:
1

Visual Arts
- so.much.theory. just finished one task this morning, have another 2 and apparently another case study? but we already did 4+ (required is 4-5), more artists = better knowledge, not too bad i guess :)
- art n music r rlly hard, people really look down on them and I cannot, they cannot fathom how hard it is to be consistent and continually produce work
- my bow is about me, narcissistic gang but also thought it would be rlly cute, doing multimedia!
rank goal:
1

Japanese
- i'm doing okay, buttt, need to practice speaking n writing, weak spots!
- have an exciting speaking event on saturday so need to practice to get the most out of my 22 dollaroos
rank goal:
1

English
- so so so philosophical n amazing, love it buttt not the best at it?
- for common mod, i didnt get very good, probs in top 30 at best in ranks, they raised the weighting from 30 to 40% which made me sad becos not good, I still feel bitter about my feedback but its over now for a long time, classic scorpio lmao, holding grudge not good, i need to just clap and say blip blop like pewdiepie
- just did mod A task, very very easy test, i screwed myself over, I didn't finish, was digital submission, power question on richard which is a generic n classique and yet I didn't prepare myself for it, v v v sad. I just wanna do well, i did like 3 practice essays n tonnes of theses for this but i dunno what happened, I guess i need more practice, i feel so silly investing my time n then not getting the results, oh well, next test goals!
- Im doing mod B essays right now butttt, big big sad, not as engaging as I thought? Great expectations is rlly noice book but trying to find quotes? tis kinda hard, i will try my best doe
rank goal:
top 10

TOP 3 GOALS TONIGHT:
1. edit mod b essay
2. catch up eco w/s on external stability
3. copy music notes on banshee n western art music
other:
type second mod b essay

daily goal:
1 hr vio
1 hr art/ 6 hours one day
catch up on eco
30 min jap review
15 min muso review?

Hey,
Keen to read through your journal!!  ;D

Definitely agree that music is really hard! Are you doing 4 performances? What pieces are you doing?

What are you looking at doing after uni?

Just as a note, Katie was literally my idol as a HSC student :) I wouldn't be doing Music Ed if it weren't for her encouraging me to apply for it!

Friday金曜日(12/06/2020)

wassup dawgs, today I have the rare free friday (our school has no early days so seniors get 1 Friday off every 2 weeks!, its really good but its like a double edged sword, I do so much at school but like quarantine, not so much at home, I have all these grand plans that I never do and mostly just spend time relaxing which is nOOOOOO good, there's always something to do so I feel so horrible when I don't do anything grrrr )
I didn't check in yesterday cos I was so tired but imma do 2 jap entries rn to make up for it yayay
it was quite eventful yesterday, I forgot my phone, didn't have enough lunch money and had to record my vio X piano thing for music assessment. It went okay but I only got 2 good recordings out of my 45min sess, its pretty expensive but she's a good pianist sooo.... eeeee, I asked my teacher which one  of the 2 recordings would be better ( 1 is very nice musically but  I made a lot of mistakes, the other is better overall but I shat faced the ending), I told her I wanted to record a solo ver as well and pick the best one (cos more marks kekek) but, she just said to come in and preform today, ahhhhhhhhhhh, I don't really want to go to school, its raining and it would be so much better to study without commute time but idk I'm so torn, I do want to get extra practice for vio (like in front of my teachers, audience etc) and maybe I'll record a better recording or sumthing but violin only sounds good when theres a sick piano back track bruv, idk gahh!

On another note, I made a frand! his name is kOhmEi, he's the only one doing jap continuers at school, I never really talked to him before doe and I was so scared ofhim cos he had a resting bich face, but hehe he's pretty noice, we did a M E M E exchange, oh god I hope no one other than alice343 finds my journal from school kekeke but yayaya

exciting things! this saturday I'm attending the JTAN SPEAKING DAY! its zoom but used to be going to another school n having quality speaking prac, (sad to miss out on such a cool excursion, we get to talk to 5 different teachers!) gotta revise speaking yahhhhhhhhhhhhh ;;;;; ps. Idk if anyones said this but I really can't deal with my current jap speaking teacher, he's an actual arse, i ask him for a list of things like can we review this form, can we get more worksheets, more writing prompts idk, and he begrudingly does it, its like he's playing with our hsc, like he knows it all but he doesn't even try to make lessons engaging and when I ask for help I feel so stupid because he's like oh thats so simple or easy or what not but he never !!! teaches properly, I cannot- soz for this really phatty rant but I'm so angry when I think  about how easy it would be to jus TRY to help our jap class instead of scrutinising our calls for help :((((((((

On the note of my Goals,
I've been doing at least 1 of the top 3 per day and I'm not sure why I'm not doing more, like 3 things a day seem so achievable? but when I get home I'm always so tired, I get home at 5 and then I rest for like an hour and then play vio and then after dat maybe dinner and then I just dOn't do more? :( idk, I know i do alot more in the day, I get way too tired, my body shuts down after 9 and i Fall ASLEEP SO quick at 10 and then when I open my eyes again its 6 and i gotta gogo to school.

Okay I'm gonna make a running to do list for today

Things that are due:
1. mod b essay (11:59 today) (I'm pretty much finished but just remembered I have to add critics quotes grrr)
2. Music elec 2. (11:59) (I filmed with pianist but should I go in to school and do more? mayb ah, I wish someone would just tell me what to do, I'll probably end up going becos my teacher asked me to come, not sure why Im so reluctant)

Running to do list:
- copy music notes ( been doing but still haven't finished)
- do the two writing tasks + reading response for jap on G/C, do 2 more
- 4 jap reading tasks
- do unemployment w/s for eco
- catch up eco w/s on external stability
-type second mod b essay
I go tutesmart for english tutoring n I wanna catch up on notes and review all the content :)
- review 2 videos today,
is this too much idk, It looks so short and minuscule gahhh, but I probably won't finish even this? IDK doe ;;;;;

rereading great expectations,
current chapter: 15

OKAY
jAP WRITING tiME!

for yesterdays entry, practice past tense.

damn, that was probs the longest entry I did, I'm doing today now!
will be practicing masu, present/future tense yaya
金曜日(六月十二日)
今日雨が降って、のちはくもりです。

Running to do list:

rereading great expectations,

OKAY
jAP WRITING tiME!

for yesterdays entry, practice past tense.

damn, that was probs the longest entry I did, I'm doing today now!
will be practicing masu, present/future tense yaya
