How does Monash Guarantee work?

Hey guys, I came across the monash guarantee on their website, but I don't get it. Does it just mean you will 100% get into the course if you have the required atar? Also how does it play out for med, since you need atar and interview as well.
Thanks!

Hi!
Yes, for all other courses that have no further admissions requirements, if you satisfy the Monash Guarantee ATAR (as well as subject prerequisites, of course), you will have a place.
As for medicine, if you meet the UMAT (175), ATAR (94) and subject prerequisite (English and Chemistry) criteria you are guaranteed an interview, not a place in the course. I do believe Monash Guarantee applicants are in a separate interview pool to regular canditates so they aren't disadvantage, but there aren't many official statements to back that theory up.

Good luck!
