I'm doing these texts too, totally agree that the ending of YOW is very questionable! Don't know how I'd compare it to Crucible either...

I studied both texts last year and agree that the end of YOW is questionable - I prefer the ambiguous ending without the 'afterword' part. At first I thought I couldn't find any links either but don't worry - there is plenty to write about! There are lots of characters that you can compare and well as themes which is good :)

I think they are surprisingly similar, both detailing catastrophic historical events from the 17th century which transformed the villages. As for the ending of YOW, I think I have grown to appreciate it more, as it does have symbolic importance.

Anyone else have that feeling, when you study so hard for a sac but you don't do so well anyways.

I had this happen a few times over the years!

It's perfectly okay, you learn from your mistakes, so that means you have room to improve before an exam! :)
I believe you can do it, I'll be cheering you on, no matter what! :)

Finished a few practice exams for specialist and methods. Also did the chemistry sample exam which I think I did pretty good in. Still have a lot to work on, but overall: feeling good. Started a kilbaha paper and was like nope on the fourth question, so I might start that again tomorrow lol.

My school hasn't even finished the course yet for chem :( but hopefully they'll finish before term 4.

Haha VCAA exams are quite soothing and then you go and try kilbaha and destroys every shred of confidence. I think I'm going to stick with the 'easy' exam companies for now.

If you're worried about finishing the course early, you could always work ahead and accelerate through food chem to fit in more practice exams.

starting to get worried about my atar now lol... did not realize there was only like 60 days left. i'm relatively confident in hitting the lower end of my desired atar (95+) but am not really putting in enough effort to achieve like 97, 98+. it's hard to predict though because i'm a bit unsure about how well i'll be able to do for some of my subjects - as of now i only really have like one subject that i'm really confident in (maybe my predictions are too cocky given how little work i've done lol). with studio arts, for example, the scaling is kinda cray so i'm going to have to really practice nailing exam responses :(
should probably talk to my teachers to get a better feel for how i'm going, also need some help to plan out these next two months properly so i don't waste time X_______X

The end of term is coming up. I'm thinking of repeating a FM next year. I might just focus most of my effort for hhd. I'm loosing motivation to study for fm since i'm going to be repeating it next year.

i haven't been here regularly for about a month, oops – had (having?? rip) a fairly big slump recently and tbh it's kind of hard to get out of? but trial exams are in three weeks so i have to actually focus :/

school's been kind of okay recently though (: i got 100 in a lit sac and literally cried omg, this one feels more validating than the others i've had in english or w/e because of how hard i actually have to work in lit haha. but then i guess my health scores balance that out because no matter how hard i work i can't seem to drag them up out of low 90s, which is kind of worrying bc i really need that 40 badly rip. had to do a group presentation for my uni subject last week as well, and i discovered that the stereotype of arts students never doing any work til the night before is accurate lmao (but at least they did it eventually?? so i can't complain tbh).

also, anybody else have their school repeatedly telling them how many days of school are left? if they're doing it to alleviate pressure it's definitely misguided omfg.

Wait, you is it certain your repeating FM our not? Because at the start you say I'm thinking of repeating a FM next year. but then at the end you say I'm loosing motivation to study for fm since i'm going to be repeating it next year.. Which is it?
Either way, I would just do my best anyway assuming your in Year 12 next year. As your more likely to have less time and focus to study on it.

If you want to make a plan for what to do in the next two months.
1. Figure out what your struggling with and want to focus on
-Is it revising content i don't understand?
-Is it doing practice exam questions?
-Is it needing to relax to avoid burnout?
Think about what you want

2. Ask for feedback on individual courses
-Ask your teachers how your going and what they think you should work on.
They aren't necessarily right in what you should do

3. Read the study design
-Look up what you need to study and cross out the one you have a understanding for and know you will never answer them incorrect 100% of the time.
-Write a list of the points you don't understand or think you'll answer incorrectly on the exam.

4. Set up a timetable for the things you want
-Write an accurate timeline for what you will do on the days before the exam
-Keep in mind, not too push too hard and burn out, but also not study too lightly
-Be aware, that this can change at any moment, so prioritize what you want to study using the responses gathered in the previous bullet points.

I'm sure someone at AN can give you better advice, but use these as general starting points.
Jack of all trades, master of none.
Hence why i'm in all these different threads and boards.
