40+ Further achievable with one decent SAC score?

Hey guys, so I've just done my 1st SAC on Core Data analysis & I think I screwed up quite a bit  :( I guess for this SAC I'm gonna get a high A & if lucky, maybe I can get a low A+, but I'm afraid this will not get me a high rank in the cohort :( Does this mean the chance of getting 40+ is basically gone for me? I'm super worried & disappointed now as I aim for a very high Further study score :(

One SAC won't ruin everything as long as you master the exams and do well in the rest of your SACs. It's not game over yet! Put your chin up, work hard on the next one, ace it, rinse and repeat.

It depends entirely upon your rank within your local cohort, not on your mark. What's your rank?

Thanks, I'm definitely trying even harder after this ;D. Anyway I saw somewhere in this forum someone said that the data analysis SAC is a core one, so it's worth double compared to others :-\ Is it true generally or does it depend on each school?

I haven't got the results yet, I just estimated my score myself. Also I'm not sure why but my teachers don't reveal our rankings and our percentages. All we know is what grade we get for SACs  :P

Hey, I go to a select entry school so my cohort is strong. I got the results of my first SAC back and I was really disappointed. I was expecting an A+ and working towards 100%. I worked so hard and only ended up with 83% (low A). How hard will it be for me to get a 40+ SS and is a 45+ SS still possible?

Hey zuleika,

Sorry to hear about the SAC result. Whilst 85% is objectively high, I know that won't be much consolation right now. When you work really hard toward a goal and then don't achieve it - well, I know how it feels. :(

On the plus side, 45+ is absolutely still achievable! Where was it that you fell down on the SAC (that is, where did you lose your marks?)? Silly mistakes? Missed content? The good thing with Further is that you have a lot of opportunities to improve. I mean, the exams collectively make up the majority of your study score, so it's definitely note the case that this one SAC result will hugely stuff up your study score aims. :)

Keep working hard, and it'll work out! ;D

So if I smash the other SACs & the exams I'll still be alright? But my friends said this SAC is a really important one, so if I stuffed up on this even exams can't save my SS
