i said it was W but y'know, me = dumb

also i was really confused with the question about the crossing over and the key.
im rlly dumb so i just coloured in each section that will be crossed over in blue and pink

how did yall answer the lactase question?

i spent a bit talking about how mutations in non-coding dna can cause the transcription/prevent the "switching off" of the lactase gene, in addition to natural selection - not sure if that's the right way to go about it

Lol ikr that was a bit of a challenge. I spoke about it having a genetic disposition and rather how it could not be non-infectious as it was not caused by a causative pathogen. I said the virus was a risk factor that increase the cumulative risk but wasn't the direct cause of the disease ... lol I tried  ;)

I'm sure I did W too because it targeted both bacteria. I almost chose the other options but they rather were really good at targeting one bacteria but not another which was beside the point so I agree with W!!!

also i was really confused with the question about the crossing over and the key.

Yep that Q was so meticulous and I had no space whoops

hmmm yes I probably should've touched on coding/ non-coding too.
I also spoke about mutations and how natural selection (like you said) and environmental pressures would lead to the increase in prevalence of the lactase gene. I said that in the other populations that the gene was in lower numbers as it didn't necessarily give a survival advantage, leading it to be as prevalent in the population as the other gene :)
