Joseph41:

Yooo wassup fam? ;D

I'm extremely excited for this announcement. Like, astronomically, absurdly excited. Why? Because, once again, we're offering free VCE lectures.

That's right:

Free.
VCE.
Lectures.
If you've ever been to an ATAR Notes lecture before, you know what's coming for you: high quality, lots of energy, and the chance to meet all of your favourite ATAR Notes administrators!*

What's most exciting about this post is this:

Considering the forum is the very heart of ATAR Notes, we don't want anybody from the ATAR Notes Forum Community to miss out - so we're telling you first! ;) And you can register right now. We haven't dropped this news on Facebook, via email, or any other method - you're very genuinely the first ones to know. ;D

So make sure you register, because places do run out really quickly.

You can register right now at this link here. Click me!

Here's the important stuff you need to know:
How do I register?!
SpoilerAs above, simply follow this link! Nobody else knows that tickets have been released - so if you're in the Forum Community, you can be both first in, and best dressed. 8)
When will the lectures be?
SpoilerSoon! The lectures will run over four days: Saturday 1 July, Sunday 2 July, Wednesday 5 July and Friday 7 July.
Where will they be?
SpoilerNone other than RMIT University - right in the heart of the CBD, and extremely accessible. Building 80, where the lectures will take place, is just a three minute walk from Melbourne Central Station.

RMIT is the reason these lectures can happen for free. Hiring as many lecture theatres as we need for as long as we need might usually cost a lot, but RMIT gives us the space for free. For zero. For zilch. So without RMIT, we really couldn't be offering this lecture series - thanks, RMIT! :)
"What subjects?! Who are the lecturers?!" I hear you cry. Well, get a lot of this. Biology, Business Management, Chemistry, English, English Language, Further Maths, Health & Human Development, Legal Studies, Literature, Maths Methods, Physical Education, Physics, Psychology, Specialist Maths. All these subjects have lectures!

And each and every one of the lecturers is incredible:

Register now: Friday 7 July MorningFor Biology, we have a dynamic duo! Both Katt97 and dribeiro - two amazingly successful Biomed students. With study scores of 46 (92 between them ;)) and experience running VCE Bio classes, Katherine and Daniel are the perfect people to guide you through Biology. Katherine is a published author, Daniel is soon to be, and together, they make one pretty bloody amazing team.

Business Management and Legal Studies students will benefit from years of lecturing experience in the form of kbanks. Karly already holds a degree from the University of Melbourne, and is now studying graduate Law – pretty impressive. She wrote the course notes for both BusMan and Legal, so you know she’s fully up to date! And she’s also one of the best communicators I know, so you’re in good hands.

Register now: Friday 7 July AfternoonChemistry? zsteve. If you’ve been around the Forums for a little while, you’ll understand how bloody incredible this guy is. A 99.95 ATAR, including 50 raw in Chemistry – and he was home schooled. The first person ever to do it. But he’s also the nicest person of all time, and a simply brilliant teacher. Seriously. If you don’t believe me, check out his ~700 forum posts haha.

Register now: Saturday 1 July Afternoon

Register now: Wednesday 5 July AfternoonEnglish is cool, because our lecturer has actually attended our lectures in the past as a student – and she’s a regular forum contributor! HopefulLawStudent (who is now ActualLawStudent haha ;)) scored a raw 50 in English, plus a 46 in Literature for good measure. If you’re lucky, you might even get an analogy about spaghetti and meatballs. 😂 #bestanalogyever

Register now: Sunday 2 July MorningThose who study English Language are in for a treat, because the legend himself – thushan – has come back for another lecture series! Thushan, simply, is an icon of ATAR Notes. He studied seven subjects. Of those, he scored raw 50 in five of them (English Language, Biology, Methods, Chemistry and Physics). His other two? Specialist Maths (raw 47) and German (raw 41). Naturally, he scored a 99.95 ATAR. 😂 I mean, those results are so ridiculous that I literally couldn’t help chuckling with admiration when writing this. He also has ~5,000 posts on the forum. Basically what I’m saying is, don’t miss this lecture. ;)

Register now: Sunday 2 July AfternoonRegister now: Wednesday 5 July MorningThis is the first time we’re ever running Further Maths. So who better to lecture than a man who scored a raw 50 in the subject? Brady has everything you want: extensive knowledge, charisma, and a great teaching style. With the recent experience of 50ing the subject, he’s in the best possible position of teaching you how to do the same.

Register now: Friday 7 July Morning
Register now: Friday 7 July AfternoonHealth & Human Development is such a content-heavy subject (trust me – I’ve been there). But gisele knows how to cut through all of the unnecessary material to focus on what’s most important. After all, she scored a 50 and a Premier’s Award having done just three practice exams. ;) I can confidently say that, with that in mind, Jess will tell you things about HHD you didn’t even know you needed to know!

Register now: Saturday 1 July MorningOur Literature lecturer – literally lauren – needs no introduction, but I’m going to give her one anyway: Lauren.is.superb. Not just at Literature, but at pretty much everything she does – and that includes lecturing. Seriously, if you need Lit help, there’s absolutely no better person for it.

Register now: Wednesday 5 July AfternoonMethods: Another forum duo. This time, we have Yueni and Hungry4Apples. Both Ben and Luke are currently teaching Methods multiple times per week. For context, they averaged a raw study score of 49 for Methods, which is, y'know... decent. Those who were at the April lectures can (enjoy) (some) (more) (brackets).

Register now: Friday 7 July Afternoonhowey is the man for both Physical Education and Psychology. With 48 raw in Psych, 47 raw in PE, and experience lecturing both, who else? Lecture feedback has literally called for “more Tim!” – so, your wish is our command. ;) And I think that speaks volumes of the man. If you study either of those subjects, Tim’s absolutely got you covered.

Register now: Saturday 1 July MorningRegister now: Saturday 1 July MorningPhysics - we have Alevine. I’m personally super excited about this one, because Alevine is such a likeable guy – and a fantastic teacher to boot. Physics kids are definitely in for a treat here. With 46 raw in the subject, Alevine’s seriously going to take RMIT by storm.

Register now: Saturday 1 July AfternoonAnd finally, for Specialist Maths: Alwin. A forum legend, Alwin took two university subjects in Year 12 "just for a bit of fun". Lol. Alwin is definitely the right man for the job here - an absolute no-brainer. I reckon he could even teach me Spesh Maths (and that's saying something hahaha)!

So, yep – that’s who’ll be lecturing. ;)

Lecture feedback from our April lecture series:
Spoiler”The lectures for me definitely help so much, the way the lecturers interact with the students is great, keeping engagement levels running.”
---“i get more out of these than of lectures that cost money!”

Great lectures. Really beneficial!”
