Ooft, what a day. It's been pretty extreme (last SAC, le green squares, chickens...) so I went home and started to draft. I might just go through this whole process with you guys so you can see exactly what I did (what I'm trying to do, anyway)!

So, I mentioned time personified in my journal yesterday, just thinking. What would they be like? What would their features be? I started thinking about Alice Through the Looking Glass, and Time as a man in robes, a clock as his heart. That, to me, doesn't really seem like... time. Time is ever-flowing, Time is cold and impersonal, and blind to the things it could do if it slowed down, just for a moment. Time is bright and yet dark at the same time, the past, the present and the future all in one. My version of time is an ageless queen in iridescent robes, with white-blonde hair and her eyelids stitched shut. An almost Amazonian physique would echo her everlasting strength. Immortal. Untouchable. So, I decided to plan her head (because I don't have my own Copic markers and I want those for any robes haha)

Here's the rough sketch. I like her head-piece, but her eyebrow needs some work and I need to figure out what medium to use for her gentle skin tone. I'm thinking charcoal, she'd do well in monotone, like an 1800s film. Aged but ageless.
Spoiler

Not sure when I'll do her next step, but follow along if you want! This should be fun :D

edit: TL;DR I'm making a lady who's meant to personify time and yeah

Wow I'm posting a lot today :/ Sorry guys
Anyway, update on our lady here: I've done her lineart! This is where I've gone over her in fine-liner (Copics yeh boi <3) and I'll place this on a light box to trace her over with charcoal. The only problem is I'm out of white charcoal, so she might be waiting a while. I'm sort of annoyed because I messed up her nose, but she's meant to be a 3D-looking character, and so her flat profile looks a bit strange. Her tiara with the hourglass in it is going to look siiiic though. Anyway, here's our girl:
Spoiler
(I better get cracking on something beach-themed soon lol whoops, I forgot my own art challenge)

Hope everyone's doing okay! Happy arting, love you all :))

Thanks, Nick <3
She's an A4 work, so I've used 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 and 0.8. (My brush pens ran out ages ago and I need new ones but I'm a poor art student so it's not happening any time soon and I don't know where I'm gonna get more white charcoal rip :'( )

Hi guys!

Okay, I'm doing this early because I don't want to forget (wow I'm such a bad person), but someone's birthday is this very weekend, and they like baby hippos, soooo... I've drawn a lil baby hippo! This took a total of one and a half hours from sketch to finished product, so it's pretty quick, but I really had fun experimenting with hatching/cross-hatching with some Uni-Pen fineliners.

OMG I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT MY NEW DRAWING TABLET

My favourite style so far is still the goldfish - which, funnily enough, is the style I feel most natural drawing. AAAHHH I LOVE THIS FREAKING TABLET WACOM I WILL BECOME A YOUTUBER PURELY FOR FREE ONES

Don't downplay yourself.
I would say it is a pretty damn good wolf. :o

Just out of curiousity, how long did it take you to draw that?
